The Lost Mansion
Four members reside at a lonely mansion, and are apprentices of Lolkien, the mansion's strange owner who tasks them all to a mission in order to leave once and for all. Their first task is to enter the dark woods to find a lost treasure, thus casting them all there. The apprentices head on their way and arrive at the woods, one of them Derrick, hears what appears to be a werewolf and goes in hiding for the time being. Derrick eventually outmaneuvers the supposed werewolf and makes it to a glittering garden, where he meets a woman in ropes, the witch of the woods who gives Derrick a potion of some sort, while convincing him to come back some day. Derrick eventually gets a move on while speculating that the witch may have the treasure all this time. He later bumps into Fore, a more confident member who boasts that he’s already found the way to the treasure and proudly leads Derrick over to a path gateway where they arrive at solid footing. Fore believes that the treasure should be somewhat around here, however Derrick doubts Fore’s judgement and continues another way while the latter wasn’t looking. After a while, he reunites with the other members who claim to still not have found the treasure, with Simon believing that there was no treasure to begin with. Once the members have reunited at a campfire, they all head back to the mansion once again, albeit empty handed. Whilst they make their way back however, the supposed werewolf shows up again, causing the members to scatter rapidly by retreating. Derrick manages to escape the woods along with Fore, leaving the remaining two stuck at the woods for the time being. The two later reunite with Simon, and they eventually arrive at the mansion again, where Lolkien comes up with their next plan.
Derrick and his companions next mission is to find a boat and go travelling across the sea, in hopes of finding his great discovery that way, thus they all head on their way. Derrick and the others then find the boat and get ready for some paddleling, as they make it across the pitch sea with the moon shining down below. There are rumors of a sea monster living down the pond, regardless the team presses forward in hopes of finding anything they are looking for. Whilst they continue, Derrick could have sworn to have seen something shining below the waters, perhaps a mermaid, regardless they move along. It appears the shining lights are following the team, until sure enough they surround the boat, thus leaving them in still motion. After a while, the boat suddenly begins to shake around and slowly capsizes to the waters, Derrick tries to hold on but like the other members inevitably ends up in the waters for the time being. The other members rush rapidly toward the boat, however Derrick gets a clearer view underwater of the lights, which appear to almost be luring him towards what’s underwater. Trusting them to what could be hiding, Derrick continues diving, when all of a sudden, he’s able to breathe thanks to the mermaid's magic. Derrick follows the mermaids down below and into the water, until he finds what appears to only be a sheet of paper and a key. Derrick picks them up and sure enough gets swept away by the waters which take him over to the nearest shore. Derrick decides to return to the mansion again and may as well show the others of his discovery.
Derrick shows Lolkien and the three other members the map he found at the meeting table, Lolkien figures it’s pointing them to the treasure and after studying the map, instructs them to head over to the woods again. Once they make it, they search around while following the map’s clues. Skeptical Simon believes that the map could likely be a hoax, and doesn’t believe the parties heading anywhere. Derrick however believes that the map could be decoded, as it doesn’t appear to be as clear as your regular map. The gang eventually make it to a small village with a couple of empty huts here and there, Derrick searches one of the huts and sure enough finds a flashlight of some sort and decides to put it to use. Sure enough he shines the flashlight down to the map, thus showing him the true pathway to where he and the others are supposed to go, however he decides to keep this a secret while the other members are frantically trying to look for the right path. After some time the party eventually decides to head back to the mansion again, however this time Derrick decides to leave them and hurry over to another path he believes could lead to the treasure, according to the renewed map. After losing them, he eventually makes it over to a cave of some sort, however it turns out Simon was following him, as the latter could already theorize there was something unusual going on. Simon follows Derrick down the cave, where they are suddenly greeted by beaming lights of fire that make it impossible to make it across, Derrick however takes a look at his potion and knowing exactly what to do, drinks it and makes it safely across the flames as Simon watches him in disbelief. After making it across the flames, he makes it to a safe spot of the cave where he meets the witch again, who applauds him for making it this far and that there’s more where that came from.
Derrick follows a trail of cave paths that the Witch promises could lead him somewhere useful. Whilst Derrick continues, he eventually makes it over across a pathway that takes him back to the woods again and decides to hurry to the mansion. Once he makes it, it appears everyone has already left, even Lolkien, except for Fare, who claims he’s gonna be this new mansion's leader and will be coordinating the plans from now on. Derrick however decides to leave Fare, and figure out what happened with the other members, however instead of making it outside, he decides to explore the rest of the mansion, believing Lolkien could be hiding something interesting. Derrick looks around and finds a bunch of hidden locked rooms that don’t appear to be tied to anywhere, however he realizes that maybe his key could unlock the rooms for him and show him what Lolkien could be hiding. Derrick opens a room where sure enough he finds something truly shocking waiting for him, it was the treasure. Derrick has no idea as to why Lolkien could have wanted him and the others to go on this scavenger hunt over something he already had, until all of a sudden Lolkien shows up right in front of him, and congratulates Derrick for his “big discovery”, claiming he’s got even more in store. Now that Derrick found what Lolkien wanted him to see, he opens another entrance and leads him outside to a garden, claiming he’s got a new journey waiting just up ahead.
Lolkien leads Derrick across a stunning garden and a pathway with flowers that lead to a ritual of some sort. Lolkien claims he’s been forming his new reunion ever since he cast Derrick and the others out, and perhaps Derrick could become his first member, Derrick later heads out to the mansion again wondering what to do next, while Lolkien encourages him to make up his mind. Derrick believes he could have missed something back at the cave, believing there’s no way right now to find the other members he heads on out and tries another pathway that could lead him to somewhere conspicuous once he made it to the cave. Whilst he travels his way through, it almost appears like he’s making it across the past, or rather where he used to be before ending up at the mansion to begin with, until sure enough making it to a green field with a table along five seats. Everything becomes clear to Derrick then all of a sudden, as he suddenly realizes that he and the other members and Lolkien must have met here before at this field, before the latter took everyone over to his mansion, however it still doesn’t explain how he forgot about all of it. All he remembers is the promise of finding something precious, but other than that it appears he’s unable to make up his mind. Regardless, he is eventually greeted by the witch, who knew Derrick would find his way here for sure given how “incredibly smart” he is. She then offers Derrick a seat as he and she stay at the table together while pondering their existence. After a nice conversation, Derrick later gets up and returns to the life he had before, leaving Lolkien’s journey at least for now.
The End
Derrick decides to return to Lolkien again at the garden, to which the latter claims he’s already got the ritual planned out for him. Once Derrick is ready, a bunch of flares shine down, and he gets surrounded by other cloaked figures, presumably Lolkien’s secret followers, and gets ready to perform the sworn oath on him. During a chant, Derrick is granted a tattoo that swears his allegiance with Lolkien, along a cloak that he puts on, thus making him the last and final member of Lolkien’s cult. He looks back at Lolkien’s mansion, however the latter has other plans for him, and gets ready to take everyone out of the mansion and to somewhere new. The moon rises, it’s nightfall and the flames burn brightly as ever. Regardless of what Derrick chose, it’s said that Simon has continued to look for the treasure ever since his disappearance, but regardless his fate remains unclear. As for Fare, he has become this mansion’s new ruler, and has been looking for new members to join him ever since, as for the final fourth member, Cera she remains at the forest, where she’s been staying ever since her disappearance, as she enjoys tending for the animals and paying attention to the wildlife all while discovering more of the woods secrets, thus accepting her fate.
