Muffle hangs out at an abandoned hotel, looking for his hidden destination until suddenly he finds a pathway that takes him to a road, where he gets greeted by a train. Inside the train is the conductor, Uni, a striking, dashing individual who invites Muffle in claiming he’s got a lot to explore. Muffle comes inside and takes his seat, and the train gets set on motion, as it suddenly takes him across drastic loops. He looks through the window and sees spectacular architecture as the train continues to spiral, as it makes its way to what appears to be an amusement park. The train then stops and Muffle makes his way to the exit, once he makes it out Uni bids him farewell and good luck after showing him a pathway. Alongside Muffle is Quirk, another traveller like him and the two move forward to their destined path. Muffle wonders why Uni sent them here, however Quirk doesn’t appear to be too interested. Regardless, the two continue forward and run into what appear to be remnants of a lost town, as the two make it across they run into Uni’s train again and hop inside as he gets ready to escort them through the rest of the town. The train then spirals through multiple spectacular architects and lights, until it finally appears to be making its way back to the hotel. Muffle gets off and returns where he used to be, along with Quirk who now joins him. Quirk goes looking around the hotel wondering if he’ll find something cool, while Muffle stays put as he stares out the window and into the lost city he’s dreamt of stepping into. Regardless, he finds another pathway that takes him to a dark road, where he arrives somewhere far more dark and depressing than the park Uni took him through. Muffle shortly heads back to the spot he was once, and continues looking out the window.
Muffle decides to take the train again over to the amusement park, this time however Uni isn’t seen on board. Regardless, Muffle arrives along with Quirk as the former goes on a search by himself. He finds some clues that could be linked to Uni and continues forward on a path, until suddenly running into a bunch of clocks like enemies. Luckily, Muffle found a blade somewhere, and slashes the enemies down whilst moving forward. After making it to a complex he suddenly gets ambushed by a giant killer robot who charges after him and has him stuck in a higher level for the time being. Muffle pushes forward through a hall, until he runs into a pale lady in a dress, Snowflake, who claims to have seen Uni around here somewhere pointing in a direction. Muffle moves forward, with Snowflake tailing him until the robot shows up again, blocking them and forcing them inside the complex they entered. Whilst everything is dark, Snow finds some lights scattered about, and eventually hears a piano from the distance. It appears Uni is playing a melodic tune while awaiting the two’s presence and finally reveals himself, as suddenly the lights flash on and the music goes hard, as if they are in a play. It appears Uni was rehearsing a history of some kind, however before Muffle could figure out what it was he disappears out of nowhere. Luckily, Muffle and Snow find a nearby exit, whilst they pass through a staircase they run into that robot again, who’s spying on them via an opening through the wall. This time, Snow suddenly blinds the robot with an ice spell, before Muffle hits it hard with his blade, thus giving the two the opportunity to make a run for it. Muffle later takes Snow over to the train, or where it used to be and the two enter, thus exiting the park for now. Muffle later introduces Snow to the hotel, thus making it her new home for now.
Snow tells Muffle that she comes from a foreign ice town, and is embodied with unique ice powers before making her way over to the park where she met him. Although the ice town was far away in the distant lands, Muffle promises that one day he’ll help her reach the town again. For now, the two decide to hop back into the train again, it appears there’s a new destination however Muffle and Snow decide to go check it out. The two later arrive at a long lost and abandoned part of the city, although Snow doesn’t wanna go, Muffle encourages her by reminding that Uni likely wants them to be here. The two go searching around, and sure enough eventually find another clue, taking him across another road. He and Snow eventually run into what appears to be a live gargoyle, as it charges head first into Muffle and Snow who just barely manage to evade it, before it flies away. Once it flies back however, Snow freezes its head before Muffle attacks it there, thus causing it to crumble apart to stone. The two later continue and make it up a staircase, where they find Uni once again sitting on a statue of some sort, he then pummels down claiming he took the two here for a reason, and encourages them to search the room. Whilst Muffle and Snow go looking around, Uni disappears once again, right before the gate suddenly slams shut, locking Muffle and Snow in. The two then hear loud footsteps approaching and go hiding for the time being, as they see a giant golem looking for them across the halls. Muffle comes up with a plan and tells Snow to aim her ice at him. She then shoots an ice blast at the golem’s eyes, blinding it thus causing it to flail around everything nearby and destroy the gate next to it. Now Muffle and Snow just need to find a way to get out, as the golem is still blocking their path. The golem spots the two and goes straight for Muffle, as the latter retreats away. The golem slams Muffle away, causing him to pummel across the ground and into the wall. The golem then tries to slam Muffle with its arm, but Muffle barely dodges and it hits the walls instead. Once its arm is stuck through the wall, Muffle climbs up the golem and strikes it in the head, thus killing it before it crumples apart in piles of stone. Muffle and Snow then leave the building, but not before the former picks up what appears to be a golden cloth likely dropped by Uni. Whilst the two make it down the stairs, they meet Engel, who looks forward to joining the two.
Quirk hasn’t made it back to the hotel, and hasn’t been seen since. Muffle and Snow go to the theme park again, wondering if they missed something, once they arrive they look around and find metallic pieces scattered around by the robots. Muffle then recognizes that someone must have built them from somewhere, and begins to follow a trail which sure enough leads him straight to Quirk who happens to be imprisoned in a cell. Once Quirk is freed, he remains unsure as to how he got into this situation, regardless Muffle keeps looking. Muffle continues following a trail, until making it into an office, presumably by a mechanic that has robot parts and other tech lying around. Suddenly the room goes on high alert, and the entrance slams shut thus locking Muffle and Snow in. Muffle and Snow then get greeted by a sinister man via a screen, claiming he has a “little game” to play with them before tuning out. Muffle later comes up with an idea to escape and convinces Snow to freeze the wires connected to the door. Once she does that, it interfaces with the electricity thus giving them their exit. Once the two make it outside, they are startled by sudden booming footsteps and are shocked to find a towering bot far bigger than the last one they encountered. The two try to stay undercover for the time while looking for the highest vantage point, once Muffle makes his way up and gets into position, he plunges down right at the bot's head, thus destroying it and causing it to tumble down. It appears Muffle has made it inside the bot’s interior, however there doesn’t appear to be anyone controlling the bot. He and Snow later head back to the train, where at the entrance they run into more bots. Muffle takes care of them and the two make it back to the hotel, where they meet Engel again who’s already made it before them.
Muffle and Snow finally decide to check out the hidden dark path at the hotel. Once they step inside, Muffle suddenly feels his ribbon glowing, as if Uni was luring him here. Muffle continues following the signal, until sure enough he runs into Uni again playing the piano before suddenly disappearing. Muffle continues moving forward, and makes it inside an empty room, presumably Uni’s once. Muffle continues following the ribbon only to find empty halls and realises this must have been where Uni once lived. Muffle heads back to the hotel again, where he suddenly gets ambushed by a herd of robots that somehow made their way in there and prepares to fight them all along with the help of Snow and Engel. Engel has inventive weapons of his own, and with his help all the bots eventually fall down, thus the hotel is theirs once again. The three get greeted by Uni once again, who wishes they enjoyed his presentations so far and that he’s got more to show before disappearing once again. Muffle spends the remaining time at the hotel, along with Engel who claims to have already found a way to hack into the bot's circuits, thus controlling them. Muffle shortly believes Engel could help him track down the Mechanic with this sort of gift, and thus the two come up with a brilliant plan to catch the madman once and for all. The two later find one of the bots, hack into it and use it to arrive at the mechanic’s place while tracking it via the bot’s lens. After a while, the bot makes its way over to a hidden factory where more bots are located, thus hinting the mechanics whereabouts or secret base. Now once they know where to go, Muffle and Engel head on out to confront the mechanic once and for all, along with Snow. Luckily there is a secret pathway that the three take once upon arriving, where they later run into a locked metal door. After Snow freezes it and Muffle strikes it down they enter the Mechanics apartment, however he himself isn’t there. As things couldn’t get bad enough, an alarm suddenly goes off, thus Muffle and the others have no other alternative but to escape. Before they could make it out however, they enter a large room full of tech and electricity, where they meet the Mechanic himself inside a giant robot Muffle and Snow already faced, ready to take them head on. After a tough battle, Engel hacks the robot temporarily, giving Muffle enough time to strike its other visual point, thus blinding the robot before it explodes. The Mechanic temporarily retreats, but it doesn’t take long for Muffle to catch him outside, where Snow freezes him and he deals the killing blow.
Muffle decides to head back to the city ruins along with Snow, as he may have missed something before. He hears of the Lazy King, a ruler who allegedly left his kingdom to ruins and is in control of the gargoyles plaquing it. It doesn’t take long for Muffle and Snow to reach the King’s whereabouts, where sure enough they find him slouching on his throne, having nothing better to do. Muffle asks the king what’s his deal, to which he says he’s still mulling it over, however once Snow notices a hidden pathway through the wall, the King demands the two to leave the grounds. Believing there could be something important hidden there, Muffle challenges the King, before the latter suddenly pulls out his blade beneath his ropes. The King charges Muffle and the two duel, as Snow manages to sneak inside the crack. After Muffle overpowers the king, Snow comes back and shows the two a stone she found, when suddenly a bunch of gargoyles pop up charging Muffle and Snow forcing them to enter through the passageway along with the king. Although the three are safe, they are also stuck, thus Muffle has no other choice but to throw the stone over to the gargoyles, thus prompting them to leave. The King exclaims that the two don’t know what they just got themselves in, but regardless Muffle and Snow later leave the temple, however it didn’t take long for them to run into the Gargoyle King, an entity merged by rock thanks to the stone’s power, ready to challenge the two to a “little bout.” Muffle and Snow try to retreat from the king as he was too powerful, however the latter didn’t let them leave so easily and kept toying with them. Before all was lost, Engel suddenly comes in and causes the gargoyle to separate with a gadget, Snow suddenly sees that same stone from the temple and manages to freeze it once it was out in the open, thus causing the gargoyle to become inanimate. Muffle then takes this opportunity to strike the King down, however before he could reach him, Quirk suddenly shows up out of nowhere and swipes the stone himself before dashing off from the distance, as the Gargoyle King falls apart. Muffle lets Quirk keep the stone, as he has no use for it. He later meets with the Lazy King again at the temple and apologizes for the headache, regardless he invites Muffle to stay with him, as the two enjoy the sunset together.
Once Muffle and the others return to the hotel, Uni comes in and invites everyone to join him at the train once more, however once he, Snow and Engel rush over, they are shocked to find that the train is gone, meaning Quirk must have stolen it. Regardless, after a while when Uni disappeared, the train came back along with him. It’s unknown as to how he could have possibly reached it, along with what happened with Quirk, regardless the train is now here and Muffle and the others head on. Whilst the trio take their seats and the train rolls out, Uni plays a little movie on a screen, depicting him and his possible alleged past. After the movie is over, the train suddenly freezes, as it just got hijacked by numerous creatures, ready to attack Muffle and his friends! The train keeps coming as they try to break in, until Snow has finally had enough and casts a massive spell that freezes the entire train, except for its passengers, thus no one is able to break in anymore. Snow collapses due to exhaustion, however the train eventually comes to a halt, as it appears to have finally reached its destination. Muffle enters a dark empty environment, Uni then steps out exclaiming this wasn’t supposed to happen, and that they should have arrived at some bright palace. Muffle wonders if he could find Snow’s village here somewhere, albeit with no luck, it also seems like Snow has slightly changed in temperature. The train is still frozen in the inside, however it still appears to be functional, and it was at this moment when Muffle suddenly sees Uni teleport away from the distance. Muffle and the others board the train again, as these lands no longer serve a purpose any longer, and head back home. Once they arrive, Muffle peeks through the window one last time, and relaxes for the while, along with Snow and Engel. Engel later decides to head over to the factory as he’s curious about its bots, whereas Uni is still around here to show any travellers the once beaming theme park, believing it can be rebuilt into something better which Muffle and Snow sometimes like to revisit. Instead of looking through the unknown again, Muffle and Snow stay where they are, and try to make the most of what they have.
The End
