TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS (Revisited)
Not the one you used to know. An adult version with a twist.
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the land,
not a creature was stirring not even the band.
The Rock Stars and Groupies were still in the bar,
All others had gone to the parking lot to look for their car.
It seemed to be a bit of a problem because it was bare.
No cars, trucks, or any other were there.
Oh dear, what shall we do? Said the tall skinny one with flaming red hair.
Many worried aloud and exclaimed in words that were similar,
but no one could come up with a solution or remember something familiar.
It was Christmas Eve and their problems had just begun,
None of them had gone shopping and the gifts, there were none.
When out of the corner of the lead singer’s eye,
he spotted a blinking light, then two and oh my!
Put down your glasses and put out the smokes,
The cops are here and it could be no joke.
I’m not talking about parking tickets, no it’s much worse.
They were Hells Angels and a long way from home.
We have no attorney, no back up plan. Said the leader who always kept them together wherever they would land.
Santa to the rescue! Climb on board.
He was driving a red semi with chains for the tires going over the pass.
No one will miss us if we get away fast.
He had gifts for all ages, neatly wrapped up with bows.
No one went home empty handed, not even the gnomes.
Let this be a lesson to one and all.
Santa is good to everyone, no matter your size, color, or call.
We can learn how to treat others and be good to them all.
The end.
