Chapter 3. The Homecoming

While news about the gang was still spreading, it also reached Biboy's mother, who was working abroad. Upon learning about it, she decided to come home for good. This time, she knew she had made a mistake by leaving her children after their father died. However, at that time, she had no choice - she was bound by her contract, and breaking it would have been against the law. Besides, she was the sole provider for the entire family. The burden was heavy, but she had to leave. Unfortunately, this reason was never properly explained to Biboy, leaving him with unanswered questions.

When Biboy learned about his mother's return, he felt something strange - an unexpected mix of emotions. He was both happy and scared. The last time he saw his mother was five years ago, and so much had changed since then.

Finally, his mother was home. She was welcomed with hugs from his siblings and other relatives. Then came Biboy's turn. He stood there, unsure how to express his emotions. His mother hugged him, but he didn't respond. He remained cold, yet deep inside, he felt happiness. His mind was racing - he missed her, longed for her love, and wanted to hug and kiss her back. But Biboy had changed. He was no longer the same boy he used to be. His emotions were clouded, hardened by the life he had lived and further fueled by drugs.

His mother started doing what she needed to do, trying to hold the household together. With multiple children to care for, she had her hands full - Biboy wasn't the only one going through a crisis.

Despite her efforts, Biboy remained cold toward her. He felt like she didn't deserve him, especially the version of himself he had become. The guilt, anger, and detachment weighed heavily on him, so he decided to distance himself. At first, he simply stopped coming home for days. Days turned into weeks, then months.

Biboy was living the way he wanted - no rules, no responsibilities, just drugs and parties all day long. He thought he was free.

Little did he know, his mother was worried to death. She barely slept, staying up each night just hoping to catch a glimpse of her son. She knew what he was up to - his dangerous lifestyle, his reckless choices. And it broke her heart because he was the very reason she had come home for good. But despite knowing all this, she felt helpless. She had no idea how to save her sweet boy from the life he was drowning in.
