One day you will understand ! Is all I kept hearing before waking up. It just started to happen recently since we've moved into this house. The voice doesn't scare me, it actually gives me a warm feeling of comfort. Sitting up on this bed trying not to cry before going downstairs for breakfast.
So quiet this morning but the smell of eggs, bacon with toast traveling through the hallway. Made it to the kitchen noticing nobody's at the table. Not even a plate made for me which mom does every morning.
Maybe she just forgot not really sure but not a problem. She's probably extremely busy. New places brings new jobs, new responsibilities and etc the best part of adulthood and i do mean that sarcastically speaking. Taking a seat saying grace before eating . Buddy runs up with his tail wagging rapidly as if he's super excited to see me. My guy giggling as I give him a smile. Finishing up breakfast now it's time for school. Running up the stairs to my brother's room to wake him so we're not late. As the door swings open he's not there. Surprised look on my face as the door closes back. Hmmm!! Welp, guess he's left already.
Leaving out the door thinking he never leaves me. We all normally ride together Britney, Scott and us both. Which Scott is an amazing boyfriend who has been with me since fifth grade. Britney and my brother have just now started to get into a serious relationship since high-school.
Just made it to school walking towards the entrance not seeing them yet. Bell rings so I quickly get to class before the teacher tries to mark me tardy and nope no detention for me. Going in the classroom everything feels off. Someone's in my seat ,the teacher doesn't even acknowledge me plus the classroom is silent.
What a depressing start of the day. Why such sadness! Did I miss something? Shaking my head finding another seat. Looking to see what's written on the board but all it said was For us that are in class today be mindful of eachothers feelings and don't hesitate to ask to speak to the counselor". Okay now it's definitely something wrong.
Class is over now it's time to find my brother. Walking around the school hallway everyone is whispering only enough for the people or person in the circle to hear. Check at all their lockers and places we go in between school break times before next period . But not a sign of them anywhere.
Maybe they skipped school, but without me is just crazy. Walking to my next class there goes that voice again. One day you will understand... (twice said )
Hurrying to the classroom another one of my seats are taken. Second class that I'm having to sit in a new seat what the fudge. As the day goes on finally school ends headed home. I can't wait to get home to see why my brother left me and skip school and nobody told me. On the door step to my house flowers and a teddy bear. Who brought this and who is it for. Approached the door picking up the gift to bring inside while closing the door Scott is sitting across the street in his car. When trying to yell for him, but he pulls off. Shrugging my shoulders guess he didn't notice me nor hear me. Running to my brother's room to see if he's home. Nope still not here. Calling for my parents no one answers me. Buddy runs up jumping on me giving all the lovely dog kisses.
Unwinding after this crazy day. Making a bowl of cereal now it's time to watch my favorite show. Still no idea where everyone is then whispering comes from the backyard jumping up to see who's back there. Can't see anyone so now i go to the window peaking out because yes I'm spooked a bit.
Front door slammed and heavy footsteps on the stairs as if they're headed upstairs. Quickly but quietly walking towards the living room not sure if someone will be standing there or if a glimpse of the person going upstairs can be caught. Don't want to call out because all of what's happening is suspicious ,as well as out of the ordinary for me honestly.
Scurrying to the living room window to peek out of it because my brother or parents car should be there if it's them. Of course the porch light doesn't work and now the street light is flickering. Ugh!!!
Now I've got to do a stern but slight whistle to alert buddy but a loud bark comes from the hallway upstairs. Reach for the first thing closes to me an race upstairs. Buddy was at my brother's door hair on his neck standing straight up with his tail showing stiffness. Creeping up slowly then stepping inside my brother's room clicking the light switch on but nothing. Checking the closet, windows, underneath the bed and just nothing.
Turning on every light in the house , checking everywhere and room's in this house. It's getting late plus being up all day I'm tired. Going downstairs locking every door and making sure everything is good before I go to my room to go sleep. Turning the last light off while heading upstairs that voice again. One day you will understand, one day you will understand, one day you will understand.
A door opens to the left side of me but no one walks out. Going to see how and who open the door if I am the only person home. Getting close to the door then whispering starts. Paused quickly now shaking because it sounds like the same voices from the backyard earlier. How would anyone get in without me seeing.
No, wait am I losing my mind. Definitely checked every place in this house and found nobody. Something grabs me kicking and trying to get loose but can't. It's like I am frozen not enough energy to move fast enough. As I look around to see what's going on. It looks like a movie fast forward is the best way to describe it.
Put on a hard surface feeling like a table but not sure because it dark as hell in here. This warm feeling comes over me again and the sound of the same voice saying One day you will understand. The room started to light up. As my eyes began to focus in and my vision is not blurry anymore. Omg!! Where have you been ? I've looked for you all day. I can't hear him so I read his lips for the message he wanted tell me.
Wake up ! Wake up ! Wake up! NOWWWWW!
Thinking to myself I'm already woke what does that mean. Wait ! Before getting to do or think I've passed out while hearing a loud beep constantly. Then feeling this electric shock through my body. Its as if I am dying but they are trying to bring me back.
How do I get back oh no lord help me find my way please. After saying that everything goes still. No air , no sound absolutely nothing then some how the doctor says she's stable hook her up to the machine to monitor her heart rate and get her fluids under control. This was a miracle she is the only one who survived from the bus accident.
Call her parents so they can come see her for a while before she falls asleep. The amount of time she was out had to drain her.
Oh there's our baby she's awake now after all those day's. Mom! Shhh honey get some rest don't use to much energy. But where's my brother? I mean why isn't here with you guys? Shhhh my mom whispered while saying ",One day you will understand".
