Does Pain need validation too?
Why it's so important to have a validity period to feel pain? Pain for one cannot be gain for another.
is it a crime to feel pain only if it's validated from others?
confused right?
Often, we hear, so what's there to be upset about it? what's the big deal in it?
but friends, the pain nerve works different for everyone.
The core reason is same for all. A child crying in birth is a joy to hear as it gives validation that he is fine. But same child when keeps crying gives us signal that he needs care.
Why we are being raised to feel pain only when it's convenient. Pain is not only from skin but soul too.
When some loved one die, for few of us it's a shock, need time to process but for some its quick reaction. So, can we judge who felt the pain more?
We in the name of being practical and strong often misteach our children to hide emotions and act tough. Unknowingly teaching them that its ok to ignore pain be it someone's or their own.
The world needs more empathy than strong attitude. It needs more love than money.
Our friend Ishaan was soo empathetic towards others that he often ignored his own pain in the process. We all know it actually resulted from his own childhood traumas. The more he suffered from lack of empathy around him, more he learned to give it to others.
The other day, he got overload with work as his co-worker had to leave early for some urgent work. He, being the nice boy gladly agreed knowing that it would mean for him to stay till late. But Ishaan had no such practical approach. He later found out that the co-worker left early not for some urgency but to hang out with friends. He obviously felt betrayed but accepted the fact that world is like that.
Can we imagine the pain Ishaan must have felt?
And it doesn't stop at workplace only, it happens in relationships, friendship, everywhere.
No, it doesn't mean he stopped helping because people like them never get the courage to stop being their true nature. It's not their " GOD Syndrome" but the basic nature. So, our friend Ishaan got fooled or rather betrayed by his own friend (at least he thought like that).
Why we think that it's ok to act selfish, why we forget that "KARMA" plays, no idea when but it does.
That made me think is it becoming exploitation of Ishaan kinds or whoever acts smart can fool them.?
The day we will feel empathy towards mankind will also be the day when there will be less suicides, crimes, betrayal and PAIN.
Our Sacred "scriptures " says, Soul cannot die and it is always there, but does that make the death less painful? No right?
We all have learned to segregate the feel as per the time.
An employee might feel pain of being scolded at task but for another one it might be just a "lecture from senior". For me losing a friendship will be painful for someone else it might just be a disagreement.
We have become so judgmental that the pain has often sounded like Piano to some of us. We feel it's just another way of getting mercy,
The lacking word here is "EMPATHY". Why has it become necessary to fight for understanding? Why can't we realize that other person might be fighting their own battles?
Suddenly the world has become so religious that we know everything about our mythology but more we are failing to connect and understand its learnings.
Here is a verse i wrote sometime back" Krishna ne GITA likhi samjhaya saara saar ki ban jaaye hum Insaan par samjhi humne Sirf MHABHARATHA" aur ban gaye "SHAITAAN" (Krishna through GITA wanted to explain us the importance of truth and empathy but we choose to read and follow Mahabharata and become Satan.).
Food for thought:
Being righteous is important or being empathetic?
