They say love is blind -

but sometimes, it sees everything.

Even the invisible.

No one quite understood how Abi and Kobby became friends. They were opposites in every possible way. She was quiet, serious, and kept to herself. He was loud, wild with laughter, always surrounded by people. While Abi read in corners, Kobby danced in crowds.

At first, people thought it was a mistake. A group assignment, maybe. Or a random encounter that wouldn't last. But day by day, semester after semester, Abi and Kobby became inseparable. No labels. No explanations. Just presence.

They didn't finish each other's sentences. They didn't post about each other. But their bond was visible - in the way Abi waited when Kobby was late, in the way Kobby knew when Abi's silence meant sadness and not shyness. In the way they showed up - every time.

People whispered:

"What does she see in him?"

"What does he get from her?"

But they weren't looking closely enough.

Because Abi saw beyond Kobby's noise - into the quiet, thoughtful soul underneath. And Kobby? He saw the fire behind Abi's calm. Her strength. Her light.

They never said they were in love. Not at first.

But when Kobby got the job overseas and had to leave, he looked into her eyes - and suddenly, everything unspoken between them echoed louder than a thousand I love yous. Abi smiled through her tears, nodding, as if to say, Go. I'll be here.

Distance didn't break them.

Time didn't fade them.

Even when life grew heavy and uncertain, they found their way back to each other - sometimes through a message, sometimes just a memory.

Years later, when Kobby returned - older, quieter, and no longer dancing in crowds - he found Abi still reading in corners, this time at a local school where she taught children to believe in themselves.

They walked again, side by side, like they did when they were students. Only this time, their hands brushed - and stayed.

They say love is blind.

But not theirs.

Their love saw each other fully - every flaw, every fear, every truth.

And chose to stay anyway.

Because real love isn't blind.

It's brave.
