Lilly was walking down the hallway when she noticed a black door she had never seen before. It was the middle of winter, and the sun had long since set. Lilly had left her math binder in her locker, so she came after hours to retrieve it. Therefore, Lilly was the only person in the school. She walked up to the door and turned the handle. "locked," she said aloud. There was a beep from a clock on the wall. 3am. "It must be broken," she mumbled to herself. But something felt off. She started down the hall towards the exit, but something, perhaps curiosity, stopped her.
Just then, Lilly heard a noise behind her. She turned and watched as the door slowly creaked open. She took a deep breath and stepped inside. There was a click as the door locked behind her. Lilly heard a low growl coming from her left. She turned and saw a beast with two glowing red coals for eyes lunge towards her. Just before it reached her, everything went black.
When Lilly woke, she found herself in her own bed at home. She shot to her feet before realizing it was just a dream. She flopped down on the bed. A few seconds later, she watched in horror as the closet slowly opened and a creature with glowing red eyes emerged...
