Alex had no idea how long he'd been walking... but it felt like forever... ever since he stumbled upon this new dimension, Alex learned about topics he never thought existed and saw things no one should ever see, especially a 16-year-old, but this was his life now.. He needed to find his mother and sister, no matter how many bones he broke, no matter how many monsters tried to wipe him out, he wasn't going to stop until he saw his mother's freckles, soft pale skin, and the most beautiful gray eyes and his sister's rough dark skin, her caring eyes, her hands that always had a small snack for him when he missed breakfast and her jokes no matter how bad, would make Alex laugh. Suddenly he heard a twig snap, and he quickly turned and pulled out his hand-made sword and glared at the direction the noise came from. "Show yourself. I'm not scared." He said with confidence and suspicion, he's been in this dimension for at least 2 and a half years, he's studied almost all the creatures who walked on these gray lands, and was very skilled at close combat. He heard small footsteps, and his eyes widened when he saw a little girl....looked around 11, with cuts, bruises, and dirt all over her. Alex keeled and sat his sword down, trying not to frighten the little one. "What are you doing here little one...-?" Alex couldn't help but have a bit of pity and worry about how this 11-year-old girl entered this hell hole. "I-I....I d-do...n't know....I-I wa-was with mama...and...." She starts to cry, and Alex starts to panic, he hasn't seen any little kids since his mother and Sister died, Alex's hands start to tremble as his mind starts flooding with his sister, thankfully his body is smarter than his brain. His arms wrap around the girl's shaking body and pulls her close while running his hand up and down her back in a comforting manner. The young teenage boy and little girl sat in the gray, plain, monotone grass until the girl's cries and sobs stopped. After Alex knew the little girl felt a little better and looked down at her and asked softly "What's your name little one?" The two made eye contact and just stared at each other for a few seconds before saying, but it sounded more like a whisper "Elizebeth...but my parents called me Lizzy.." Alex nodded and stood up and handed his hand out to help her up. She takes it and they start talking and even laughing a little. Alex was happy to find another human...he hadn't seen one in so long, and he knew Lizzy felt the same way by the way her eye's glimmered in the sunlight. When night started to fall Elizebeth noticed the change in Alex's demeanor, he seemed more observant and defensive, she wanted to ask if he was ok, but she didn't want to upset him more, so she stayed quiet and nodded in acknowledgement whenever Alex said something. Alex noticed it was getting darker and knew way too well that it was too dangerous at night, especially with Lizzy with him. He took a halt in his movement and turned to Elizebeth. "Lizzy, we need to find a shelter. It's too dangerous at night and you can't defend yourself, alright?" Lizzy looked up at him and nodded, knowing he was right. As they continued looking, they kept a look out for any sort of shelter.
