"Mother Just Stay By My Side"

A few hours later, Alex felt himself being shaken and due to his increased instincts from being in this realm so long, he immediately woken up and pounced, pinning the mysterious person to the ground. He heard a grunt and looked at them. His eyes widen when he realizes it was Elizebeth. Alex quickly scrambled to his feet and looked guilty. His face flushed red with embarrassment and looked away. "I-I'm sorry Lizzy- I-I thought-" Elizabeth cut him off as soon as he searched for words and an apology. She didn't want to hear it. She glared at him and was surprisingly intimidating for an 11-year-old, though she was the Devil's Child. "You left." Elizabeth said simply, but those two words were like a stab in the chest for Alex. He knew what he did was wrong but he had good intentions. "I-" Alex started but quickly stopped when Elizebeth silenced her with her finger. "Why? Is all I want to know. I thought we were going to be a team. What happened?" Alex knew he couldn't lie to her, she'd notice it immediately. "I left because?" Alex takes a deep breath before continuing. "I left because I realized that you being here with me is so dangerous Elizebeth. You're 11. It's not ok you're here but I knew that I could protect you by?potentially leaving and you wouldn't get into the fights I would get into with Monsters of the unknown.. I swear" He kneeled down and took Lizzy's hands in his eyes looking up He knew, at this moment and until they got separated from fate itself, she would be his sister and he looked at her with guilt and remorse. "I did it with great intentions Elizebeth?Please..forgive me.." Elizabeth's eyes widened. She didn't know he left for her sake..her safety..She nodded at his words and sighed in defeat. She met his gaze and her eyes weren't filled with anger and confusion, her eyes instead felt like a tight, warm embrace of acceptance and understanding. Elizabeth kneeled down next to Alex and hugged him tight. "Just don't leave without me again ok..?" "ok."

It's been a few months since Alex and Elizebeth had their argument. SInce then, they've been very clear on their boundaries and always communicated. Alex couldn't help but enjoy her company, it was like he was with his sister again but he was the Older Sibling. A few weeks ago they both moved out of that old shack and were on the trail again, Alex has been training Lizzy for any situation. Lizzy was a very fast learner and already knew how to arm-lock someone. "So!" Lizzy started and Alex turned. "I was wondering, what's that fabric around your neck?" She pointed to the worn-out cloth tied tight around his neck. "O-oh this?this was my mother's?I always keep it with me just in case y'know?-?" Lizzy knew there was more to it but didn't want to push it and nodded. They continued walking and Alex felt that cold breeze he felt back at the WIllow Tree, it was cold but had a sense of warmth and security threaded through its breeze. Alex smiled softly and took Lizzy's hand. He would protect her with the skills he learned from his rough past. She was his and he was hers. Suddenly Alex yelled "Lizzy watch ou-" Lizzy chuckled but her face hit right into a door. She coughed a little and her nose started bleeding but she paid no attention to that, she looked ahead and saw a huge house..no a mansion! Alex walked up to her and gently pushed her back and narrowed his eyes. "A..Alex?where did this come from? H-How did we not see it-?" "It must've appeared here. I've never seen anything like this before." Alex responded, this voice dense and fierce. Alex rose his foot up and attempted to kick the door down, Then he tried running into the door with his side. "Alex- how do we know this..mansion is safe..-?" "We don't. But it could have answers." Elizabeth nodded and stood back. After a few more attempts, Elizabeth was fed up and walked up to the door. "Lizz-" "shh."

She started mumbling which sounded like English but it shifted to an unknown language he's never heard before. He stepped back and just watched, Observed. Suddenly dark spirits arose and surrounded Elizebeth. Alex knew what these spirits could do so he immediately released his sword and charged at them but before he could touch them he was blasted back from a strong wind of power. He was shocked, he saw the spirits go into the door and come back out before going back into Elizebeth and she put her hands down. "L?Lizzy?what was that..-?" "I'm the 'Devil's Daughter', aren't I?'' She smirked and turned back to Alex while opening the door easily. She held the door open and waited for Alex to walk in before walking in after, slamming the door behind them.
