A few hours have passed since they stepped foot into the house. Every step they took the house would creak and moan from the pressure of their human weight. Alex kept his hand on his sword and heightened all his senses. He noticed how Elizebeth seemed so ok with the house and even seemed to know where everything was as if she's been here her whole life. Whispers began to circle around Alex, it was his mother and sister telling him "go back before it's too late" and "please?run away..she isn't safe.." their voices were cracked and broken but Alex kept going, Lizzy was his and he was hers. Suddenly he got separated from Elizebeth and as soon as he noticed, he pulled out his sword and went into position. "Where is Elizebeth?!" He shouted into what seemed like nothing. As if on cue, he heard noises from afar and slowly made his way over to the source. His eyes widened and heat spread all through Alex's body when he saw his mother and only sibling lying on the floor bloody and bruised. His body started to tremble and tense up, making it nearly impossible to move. His mind was screaming for him to move but his body disobeyed. In an instant, everything went black.
When Alex woke up, he found himself bound to the ground, shackles on his wrists and ankles. He tried to move but hissed in pain, halting immediately. He heard a quiet child-like giggle and looked up, it was hard to describe how he felt in that exact moment but one thing was clear, he wished he never looked up. Elizabeth bursted into a cruel laughter and abruptly stopped cold staring at Alex dead in the eyes. Alex looked at her more closely and was surprised to see her new appearance: Long dusty dirty blonde hair with red eyes the color of rubies, she also looked?older and wiser somehow. "Like how I look?" Elizabeth giggled and slowly strided up to Alex's bounded form. Alex didn't know how to feel, his one friend- no..his one alive family was..he didn't even know what she was but he had to escape and escape now. Elizabeth noticed this and kneeled down. This scene was familiar, what seemed like months ago was him kneeling down in front of her with her being in a very vulnerable state. Elizabeth's eyes showed little but clear as day chaos and very little (but still there) sympathy. "W..why are you doing this L..Lizzy..-?" Alex coughed out. If she was being honest, Elizabeth didn't know herself. Maybe it was her father's pushing, maybe it was fear of being attached to a mortal like him. It could be anything! But no one will know which is accurate. Alex squirmed a little more, trying to get out. "Don't try." Lizzy said with almost no emotion. She stared him down so intensely that Alex nearly flinched. After a few more minutes of trying to escape, he finally came to the realization that he might never leave Elizebeth's grasp of control and the intensity of her stares. It's been quite awhile since he was officially trapped here and due to his neglected state, he was so skinny that his bones poked out if he moved a certain way and he would get so bruised easily that all he wanted was death. Alex was just staring at the wall across from him with no emotion and no life in his eyes. Elizabeth suddenly walked in and this was the first time he saw her since his realization. He looked up at her without moving his head and she chuckled at his broken state. She walked up to him and started messing with his shackles. Alex winced silently at the sudden human contact and he fell to the ground with a thud when she successfully removed the shackles and Alex coughed out painfully. "Awh?you poor thing.." Elizebeth said quietly and sat next to him, he looked up at her and she smiled softly. Alex's wrinkled broken face started actually moving for the first time in months and he started crying despite the incredible pain he felt from his face moving. He sobbed in that dark eerie room that he called his home for months now. Elizabeth smiled in evil delight at Alex's reaction. After his sobbed cooled down he looked up at Elizabeth, his eyes a little puffy which was a big contrast from his almost gray dead skin. "Are you alright?'' Elizebeth asks as if she didn't know what she did. "No?. I'm cold and my skin hurts.." he drags out that 's' and he winches in pain. Elizebeth gets up and easily picks up Alex's now tiny frail body and he starts crying again softly due to the pain of the human contact. He was carried out of that 'basement' and was put at a long dining table.
