It was a fine morning, but I wasn't feeling well. There was no one at home to help, and I had only a little money on me - the very last I had. Despite that, I knew I had to see a doctor, so I gathered my strength and made my way to the hospital, hoping what I had would be enough.

When I got to the hospital, I was told they operated on a cash-and-carry basis. I handed over what I had, but it wasn't enough. I stood there, helpless and anxious, not knowing what to do. I was in pain, short on funds, and completely alone. My heart sank.

Just then, a kind-looking gentleman who had been standing close by and had heard everything turned to me and said gently, "Don't worry - I've got this." I was stunned. He stepped up and paid for my consultation and initial treatment. As if that wasn't generous enough, he also handed me some money for transportation to get back home.

I couldn't believe it. Who does that for a stranger? I thanked him over and over again, my eyes filling with tears. He simply smiled and said, "Just take care of yourself."

That simple act of kindness was the beginning of something I never expected.

We stayed in touch. What started as polite check-ins turned into meaningful conversations. I learned that he was not just kind, but humble, smart, and full of compassion. He would call to check on me, and eventually, we started meeting regularly. His warmth, patience, and sincerity drew me in like nothing else ever had.

Before long, our friendship blossomed into love. He saw something in me, even in my lowest moment, and never judged me for it. Months passed, and one day, he asked me to marry him. I said yes.

That man - who stepped in to help me when I had nothing - became my husband. He wasn't just a kind stranger that day; he was my angel in disguise.

So yes, I say this with all my heart: angels still exist. Sometimes, they don't come with wings - they come with open hearts and kind souls, just when you need them most.
