Favor: I was asked on a date, this evening.
Curtiss: Are you seriously standing in my face telling me this, woman have you lost your mind?
Favor: I mean it’s no sense in lying or sugar coating, and honestly you don’t do it. You think I’m about to sit around and waste all my youth, love and sexiness on you, a mutha fucka that’s not applying his self not even a little bit, I think not?
Curtiss: What are you saying Favor? Cause yeah don’t think I haven’t noticed the distant behavior, long time periods between messaging me back, never following through with our plans, and the list goes on. Tell me baby what’s going on?
Favor: I guess I’m just tired of the same shit from you. All the things you just listed off are just me moving accordingly. I’m so over you treating me like an option, I mean you literally put zero effort into me. You never try to go out of your way for me, surprise me with anything, take me out and pick up the tab, I feel like this has been so lopsided for as long as I can remember and I’m done. What woman in her right mind would settle for this, Honestly I can’t call on you for anything, you never have solutions. I don’t know what bothers me more, the thought of you being able to help but don’t or you just simply can’t? Either reason is unacceptable. I’m so over making excuses for you. This shit is not normal, and I don’t want it anymore. That being said, I said yes to the date. I’m tired of you.
Narrator: Both Curtiss and Favor stood in complete silence, but Curtisse’s mind was louder than it had ever been. The woman that had always loved him and been there for him said she was done. He felt his heart pour because he knew she was right and it hurt him to know he had been causing Favor this much pain.
Curtiss: So, going on a date with the next man is the solution Favor? Do you know how this makes me feel, what the hell do you plan on doing while on this date? For real do you realize who you just came into the house and said this shit to? I am enraged and hurt woman.
Narrator: Favor didn’t know what to say because she had no sympathy and was beginning to second guess the love for him she was once certain about. However, feeling like their relationship has run its course, she just stood there watching the man she once longed for fall apart and she had no desire to mold him back together.
Curtiss: Favor, what do you plan on doing while on this date that you’re clearly not going on?
Favor: I’m going to have fun I don’t plan on doing anything. I am going to go with the flow. I know where you’re going with this, you are wondering if I’m going to give this loving up. My question to you is should I? Do you feel like you’ve been worthy of loyalty, especially mines?
Narrator: Favor could tell she hit a nerve by the way Curtiss looked at her and started walking in her direction. He had a look in his eyes she had never seen before, and it made her feel uneasy. Before she could say anything Curtiss had grabbed her throat.
Curtiss: Who is he?
Favor: Let me go Curtiss, what difference does it make? You don’t want me, and you’ve made that quite clear, now let me go before this shit gets out of hand.
Curtiss: I won’t ask again, who is he? Tell me, tell me who he is. Who’s trying to take you away from me?
Favor: His name is Conscious!
Narrator: Curtiss hands dropped in dismay, what was he hearing, was this real? He was hoping it was a nightmare that would soon end. But as the moments moved and they stood there staring at one another he realized more and more that what was happening was in fact real. He wanted to lose his cool, but he knew that would only end ugly. Without saying a word, he grabbed his jacket and slammed the door behind him.
