Episode 1: When Love Finds You
I never believed in love at first sight—until I met Amanda.
It was a rainy evening in Lagos when I saw her. She was standing under a small shop’s canopy, trying to shield herself from the downpour. I was on my way home when I noticed her struggling with her phone, probably trying to book a ride.
“Need some help?” I asked.
She looked up, and for a moment, I forgot how to breathe. Her eyes were deep brown, her skin glowed even in the dim streetlight, and her smile… her smile was enough to make any man weak.
“My phone’s dead,” she sighed. “And I don’t know how to get home from here.”
That was how it started. I offered to drop her off, and one ride turned into a long conversation. By the time we reached her house, I was already hooked.
Episode 2: Falling Fast
We started talking every day. Calls that lasted for hours, late-night chats, weekend outings—it felt like a dream.
Amanda was everything I never knew I needed. She was smart, kind, ambitious. She pushed me to work harder, to dream bigger. She made me laugh in ways I hadn’t in years.
“I think I’m falling for you,” I confessed one night over dinner.
She smiled. “I think I fell a long time ago.”
And just like that, we were inseparable.
Episode 3: The Warning Signs
Everything was perfect—too perfect.
At first, it was little things. She would get mysterious calls late at night and step out to answer them. Sometimes, she canceled our plans last minute with vague excuses.
I ignored the red flags. Love blinded me.
One evening, I noticed she was distracted. “Is something wrong?” I asked.
She hesitated before shaking her head. “Just work stress.”
I believed her. But deep down, a part of me knew something wasn’t right.
Episode 4: The Truth Unveiled
One day, I received a message from an unknown number:
“Do you know who your girlfriend really is?”
My heart pounded as I replied. “Who is this?”
No response.
That night, Amanda left her phone on the table while she went to the bathroom. A message popped up. Curiosity got the best of me, and I looked.
It was from a man. “I can’t wait to see you again, baby. Last night was amazing.”
My chest tightened. My hands shook. My world shattered.
Episode 5: Confrontation
I waited for her to come back, my mind racing with anger and pain.
“Who is he?” I asked, holding up her phone.
Her face turned pale. “Where did you—”
“Answer me, Amanda!” My voice cracked.
She sighed, rubbing her temples. “It’s not what you think.”
“Then explain.”
She hesitated. That was all the confirmation I needed.
Tears stung my eyes as I laughed bitterly. “I gave you my heart, and you played me.”
She looked guilty, but not enough to fix what was already broken.
Episode 6: Walking Away
I left that night. Blocked her number. Deleted our pictures.
The pain was unbearable. I felt stupid for trusting her, for ignoring the signs.
Days turned into weeks, but the hurt didn’t fade. I kept replaying our memories, wondering if anything was ever real.
One evening, she showed up at my doorstep.
“I made a mistake,” she whispered, eyes filled with tears. “I love you. I was scared… scared of how much I felt for you. I messed up. Please… give me one more chance.”
Episode 7: A Lesson Learned
For a moment, I wanted to believe her. I wanted to take her in my arms and pretend like nothing had happened.
But love isn’t just about feelings—it’s about trust. And she had broken mine.
“I loved you with everything I had,” I said, my voice firm but sad. “But love without trust is nothing.”
Her tears fell harder. “So this is it?”
I nodded. “Goodbye, Amanda.”
As I closed the door, I felt a strange mix of pain and relief. It hurt, but I knew I had made the right choice.
Sometimes, love teaches us painful lessons. But in the end, it makes us stronger.
— The End.
