INTRO
In the year 2200, a nuclear war completely devastated the planet Earth. Disease, famine, and death prevailed. A group of scientists acted swiftly to preserve some species, although some had already been infected. Only 10% of the global population managed to survive and escape on spaceships.
For several generations, these survivors witnessed the passing of time, observing a planet below that was once blue, green, and beautiful but had turned into a crimson wasteland due to radiation. They remained in orbit for over fifty years, searching in vain for a planet that could resemble Earth.
After two hundred years, they discovered a remote location in a galaxy named GY Hope 1, which held promise. For an additional twenty years, they scoured for a planet capable of sustaining life similar to that on Earth. Finally, they found one and named it Terra Ultima. It was a moment of hope when they observed some species managing to survive and adapt to the new planet.
PROLOGUE (V.O)
Scientists developed a machine to generate oxygen before embarking on the task of planting trees and plants that had been salvaged from Earth. It had been 270 Earth years since the cataclysmic events unfolded. Only 500,000 individuals had successfully boarded the secretive spacecraft, which were built covertly by SpaceX and NASA. These fortunate few consisted of around two thousand people representing one hundred and ninety-five nations of Earth. One year later, SpaceX and NASA ceased to exist, giving way to the formation of the Earth Space Union or UET.
News #1 (V.O)
No known politicians were granted passage on the ships, and individuals with criminal records were not allowed entry. The selection process was meticulous, handpicking individuals from the space stations.
NEWS #2 (V.O)
Only incorruptible soldiers and police officers who had assisted the population were chosen, each one tested to their limits in a confidential project. Two hundred ships departed secretly without informing their respective governments. Each country was represented by two thousand individuals who had been elected in secrecy. All of these individuals were "reborn" through the Lazarus project, a ten-year endeavor conducted prior to the final war.
NEWS #3 (V.O)
Among the two thousand, evaluations were conducted to determine who had successfully adapted to their new bodies. From each country, two thousand volunteers from each nation achieved complete adaptation to the new bodies among the three hundred and five hundred specimens.
NEWS #4 (V.O)
The others either perished or transformed into monsters, instantly frozen to prevent their awakening. Some were launched into space while others were kept for further study, aiming to uncover what had gone wrong in the experiments. And this is where human ingenuity comes into play.
NEWS #5 (V.O)
The monsters with human consciousness were believed to never awaken again. However, three hundred years later, a small residue of their consciousness remained in the erased brains of animals that had been injected with human consciousness. This was done in an attempt by scientists to adapt humanity to different environments.
NEWS #6 (V.O)
Each nation selected an animal to represent its culture in this process.
NEWS #7(V.O)
For several generations, there was peace. But eventually, the consciousness of these monsters evolved, surpassing human intelligence. The remnants of animal instinct merged with human instinct, creating a remorseless and highly intelligent species. They became a threat.
NEWS #8(V.O)
The monsters escaped, leaving behind partially destroyed laboratories and forty deceased scientists, except for ten who managed to flee. They sought refuge in an inhospitable area of the planet, surviving by consuming whatever they could find, until there was nothing left to sustain them.
NEWS #9(V.O)
The era of peace came to an end. The nation of humans and wolves now hung by a thread. As Jhanna, a black-furred wolf with pointed ears and exceptional hearing, explains,
News V.O out
JHANNA (To himself)
A wounded wolf can be more dangerous than a healthy wolf. The wounded wolf fights for survival and will do anything to stay alive. The sane wolf only attacks when hungry or in danger. It wants to lick its wounds, be a valuable part of the pack, and avoid being left behind to die.
NARRATOR (V.O)
A wounded wolf does not want to be left behind. A healthy wolf does not wish to be injured, as it understands the importance of unity within the family to secure food during scarce times. The family relies on each other for survival in this harsh world. Therefore, a wounded wolf becomes more dangerous as it considers all viable options, refusing to be left behind. Licking its wounds in solitude brings loneliness, heartache, despair, and a pain greater than the physical wound. The wolf desires to live, even though the pain makes it tempting to surrender to the winter cold and merciless wind.
Jhanna's fur is stained with blood and the snow is now red. The blood spurts from the wound.
NARRATOR (V.O)
He has only to believe and his fighting efforts will become a beacon of hope. But he gives up and he will be attracting creatures that feed on dead flesh. However, he is determined to fight. The wound will heal, and the pain will become a mere restive sensation. Or so he thinks. He walks slowly, sniffing the surroundings, his dear pack waiting to welcome him. So, he waits and prepares to rejoin them.
Jhanna lightly licks his wound, hoping for a quick healing process, understanding that the pain serves as a reminder of the body's battle against the infection. The rest of his group remains distant, but the reward of hope feels within reach. He is the one who fought until the end and tasted the sweetness of victory.
NARRATOR (V.O)
Sadly, Hanhad succumbed to the pain and now provides nourishment for the creatures that rely on dead flesh. Jhanna continues on his journey, feeling the weight on body as he lames on his wounded paw and he also gets scared because of each sound that surrounds him. The small steps of chattering squirrels, the heavy steps of lumbering bears burying themselves in the snow, and the creaking of a decaying pine tree swaying in the icy wind. Each sound becomes a melancholic song that intensifies his suffering. His right paw bears a large wound, inflicted by a sharp sword. And he questions himself, wondering why it happened.
Jhanna speaks to himself, reflecting on his experiences.
JHANNA (TO HIMSELF)
That's what occurred. I fought until I got lost in that massacre. He is not an ordinary wolf; he comes from the bloodline of Fyaeja, a breed of wolves who once shared a spiritual connection with humans. However, that connection was lost long ago.
Jhanna pauses to provide an explanation.
JHANNA
Many heartless individuals exploited the Wolves of Fyaeja for their own gain and dark magic. The enemy is one of them. Many wolves have been corrupted by evil and no longer abide by the Law of the Common Good. The first beings created this law to coexist on Earth. However, that evil gradually corrupted it.
Narrator V.O
Wolves like Jhanna are committed to upholding the law and protecting their bond with the Gods. Stephan, a human warrior and Jhanna's best friend, disappeared during the fiery battle of Tgatha in Gharrara territory, fifty kilometers from the Capital in the North, where the dark forest awaited. Their group attempted to gather more allies for the fight, but enemy fire scattered them.
The eagle team and the remaining humans were decimated.
FLASHBACK
Jhanna urged his comrades to save themselves and leave him behind, for if he survived, he would track their steps.
NARRATOR(V.O)
Feeling alone, he mourned the potential loss of his friend. As the fourth generation of Earth's last soldiers, Jhanna had been elected as the leader of his tribe.
In a brief flashback of Stephan talking to Jhanna, he recalls the words,
JHANNA
War leaves us exposed, naked in the icy snow, as food for those who will kill tomorrow.
The wolf, now alone, sheds a tear.
JHANNA
(In prayer posture)
I will avenge you, even if this cursed paw pains me forever. I will avenge you until the end of time, until the last glimmer of hope. I will restore the honor that the enemy took from you with a cowardly blow to your back. I will inflict more pain upon them than the pain of this wound. I swear to you, my dearest...
Jhanna screamed bitterly, followed it with a howl.
In response, a thousand howls of vengeance echoed through the cold night.
The desire for revenge was evident. Many wolves were still alive.
This was their battle cry.
Jhanna
No more! Time to finish what the cursed cowards on Earth couldn't do.
Jhanna declared.
NARRATOR (V.O)
The enemy shall perish and decay. They do not deserve to be torn apart by scavengers. Instead, they will endure eternal flesh-burning agony for their cowardly sword that claimed the lives of thousands. I swear this to you. True peace will prevail when the souls of all victims, even in death, receive their everlasting punishment. The incendiary fuel of their souls will scorch every fiber of their skin, eternally.Jhanna prayed fervently as the weakness overcame him, forcing him to sit on his hind legs. The snow chilled him more than usual, and the wound turned an ominous shade of purple. He could no longer feel the cold in the torn flesh, only the pulsating pain.
Licking the wound, he tasted the revolting bitterness and dared to have a thought. Death lurks among the densest trees. His eyes are heavy, and his heartbeat is slower. Weakness compelled him to lie down in the snow. With a slow breath, he closed his eyes.
JHANNA
I am ready. I will be with Stephan!
He whispered.
Everything faded into darkness.
In the distance, an old ship attempted to rescue the survivors of the battle, one by one.
As the wolf lost consciousness, the ship managed to fly above his body.
A laser beam grabbed his body laying in the snow.
In haste, sensing that the monsters in land had caught wind of the ship, a protective shield was deployed and that cut the air around Many.
As the monsters gathered in tens of thousands bundles, the shield system was transformed into a colossal sharp blade, claiming thousands of them in half.
However, countless ten thousand or even millions others emerged out of nowhere. Without mercy.
Then, out of nowhere, their old ship disappeared in the warp.
Then, it appears again inside of a shield force, which had taken the form of a sphere. The ship threw small bombs, which exploded and pierced only a dozen monsters. Enough to pick Johanna and some wounded soldiers.
GLITCHED VOICE
Jhanna, wake up…
A voice called out.
2nd GLITCHED VOICE
Wake up, big bad wolf.
Another voice chimed in.
Jhanna gradually regained consciousness, experiencing pain, and saw Stephan.
JHANNA
What... where am I? What kind of simulation is this?
Asked, confused.
STEPHAN
It's not a simulation, old friend. I am alive. I, too, lost blood but was found in time by the sole surviving scientists. Now give me a hug.
Without hesitation, Jhanna wagged his tail and leaped into his friend's arms.
STEPHAN (cont.)
We have good news. We found a habitable planet. It's part of our Milky Way.
Spoke with joy.
JHANNA
Cordelia, is the new planet safe?
Jhanna inquired, still bewildered.
AI VOICE “Cordelia”
"Hello, Jhanna.
It's good to hear your voice again. As it was said, we were able to find a new planet. Yes, the new planet is very good.
JHANNA
Good. Did you find a way out of this madness? Did you find any planet far away on the Eagle’s belt or 3KVME?
CORDELIA
Yes, I did. And it is the newly found planet, GW Esperanza T/#138, is habitable and possesses life forms remarkably similar to our original Earth, Prima Terra 1.1.1. Welcome, Captain. At your command, I will activate the Warp!
JHANNA
"Cordelia, let's do this!
Jhanna commanded.
CORDELIA
Consider it done.
Warp activated.
The ships disappears.
