In a vast jungle, as thick and green as the great Amazon forest, many animals, birds, and snakes lived together. The ruler of this jungle was a mighty Lion. He was not only strong but also wise, and whenever there was a problem among the creatures, he solved it fairly.
Among the snakes in this forest lived two sisters, Tina and Mina. Though they were sisters, they could never get along.
At first, they argued once in a while. But slowly, their quarrels grew worse. Every single day, Tina and Mina shouted, hissed, and fought over the smallest things.
The other animals and birds became very disturbed. They could not rest or enjoy their lives peacefully. “How can we hunt, eat, or sleep when these two are always fighting?” the deer whispered. “Their quarrels echo everywhere!” sighed the parrots.
Finally, all the animals and birds gathered and decided to complain to the Lion King.
They approached him together and said,
“O King, we cannot bear Tina and Mina’s fighting anymore. They argue day and night, loudly and angrily. We cannot eat, we cannot sleep, and we cannot even concentrate on anything peacefully. If we try to stop them, they get angry and fight with us too. Please, King, take action before our forest loses its peace.”
The Lion King listened carefully. He too had noticed their constant quarrels. After thinking for a while, he declared,
“You are right. Tina and Mina are sisters and should be united. But instead, they fight endlessly and disturb everyone around them. From today, Tina and Mina are banished from this forest. They must not live here anymore. No one should help them or speak to them.”
The animals and birds cheered with relief. “At last! Peace will return to our forest,” they rejoiced.
When Tina and Mina heard the King’s decision, they felt deeply ashamed. Tears filled their eyes.
“Oh no, what a terrible mistake we made,” they said to each other. “Because of our constant fighting, we are being separated from our friends, our family-like animals and birds, and even our home, this forest. How foolish we have been!”
The two sisters slithered sadly to the Lion King. With bowed heads, they said,
“Great King, please forgive us. We understand our mistake. Our fighting caused so much pain to everyone. We promise never to quarrel again. From now on, we will live united, peacefully, and lovingly. This forest and all who live in it are our family. If we lose our family, where else can we survive? Please give us one more chance.”
The Lion King looked at them closely. He saw the sincerity in their eyes and the regret in their voices. Finally, he said,
“Very well. Since you have apologized with true hearts, I forgive you. But remember this: from now on, you must live happily together. Do not fight again, for the peace of the whole forest depends on your unity.”
Tina and Mina promised, “We will never fight again!” And from that day onward, the two sisters lived in harmony, bringing peace back to the jungle.
Moral of the Story
Fighting with brothers, sisters, or relatives only causes pain to everyone. When family members stay united, loving, and peaceful, happiness spreads to the whole house. Unity brings joy; quarrels only bring sorrow.
