Once upon a time, in the middle of a busy little town, there was a park unlike any other.
It was full of tall trees, flowering plants, and climbing vines. Bright blossoms painted the paths with colors, while butterflies fluttered and birds built their cozy nests high above. Children laughed on the swings and slid down the slides, while families, couples, and elders came each evening to enjoy the peaceful beauty. The park was a place everyone loved.
On Sundays, the gates opened from morning till night. During the day, the park sparkled in the sun, and in the evening, it glowed with peace and joy. For everyone, the park was a place of happiness.
The secret behind this magical place was an old Grandpa. He had cared for the park for many years, watering the plants, trimming the vines, and filling the ground with green life. Students often came to learn gardening from him, because he taught with patience and love. He shared everything he knew, and so people adored him. Children loved him most of all, and sometimes he even joined their games.
But time had passed, and Grandpa was growing older. The park’s owner, noticing this, decided to hire a young man to help him.
When the boy arrived to work, Grandpa’s heart filled with anger. Why did the owner bring someone without asking me? he thought bitterly.
“I’m the reason this park is alive. All my ideas, my hard work, my whole life is in this place. And now someone else is here to ‘help’? Does the owner not trust me anymore?”
His thoughts burned like fire. I must drive this boy away. I will not teach him anything.
From that day, Grandpa was harsh. When the boy asked questions—“How do I do this? Where is that tool?”—Grandpa snapped, “Go away! Don’t talk to me! Find it yourself!” He showed only rudeness, never kindness.
The young man sighed. He’s an old Grandpa, and I’m new. Maybe in time he’ll soften. So he stayed.
But Grandpa’s anger spread. He shouted at the puppies that came to play, chased children away, and scolded them for making noise. “Stop shouting! Go home!” he barked.
Before closing time, he clapped his hands. “Time’s up! Time’s up! Everyone out! Leave now!”
He even scolded elders for things they hadn’t done, just to find fault.
Visitors were heartbroken. “What happened to Grandpa? Why is he like this now?”
The owner soon heard the complaints. He called Grandpa and said gently, “Why are you behaving this way? Everyone loves you. I hired the boy only to help. You can share work with him as you like. Please be your old self again. You are dear to me, and to everyone who comes here.”
But Grandpa grew even angrier. “Who is he to advise me? I must stay as I am. The boy must leave!”
So his bad behavior continued. Day by day, his anger and resentment grew stronger. Fewer children came. Fewer elders came. Soon, only one or two visitors entered the park.
“Why should we go there and get scolded by that old man? Better to stay home,” people said. “He’s always angry, while the young boy works properly. What’s wrong with Grandpa?”
The young man, too, felt sad.
The news reached the owner again. “No one visits anymore,” he said. “It’s Grandpa’s attitude—he shows anger, hatred, and chases everyone away.”
So the owner called Grandpa once more. “Grandpa, you no longer need to work here. You don’t have a job in this park anymore. Please leave.”
Grandpa’s heart broke. He walked slowly away, whispering, “The very thing I tried to do has destroyed me. I wanted to drive away the boy… but now I am the one who must leave.”

In life, you will meet people you may not like—whether at home, at school, or outside. They might be your parents’ acquaintances, your friends, or even your friends’ friends. That is normal.
But it is wrong to show anger toward them. And it is even worse to pour that anger onto the people around you.
Look at Grandpa. Everyone once admired him for his kindness. But when he let anger, neglect, and hatred take over, people began to dislike him.
Never change your true character because of anyone. Stay steady. If you don’t like someone, stay quiet. Do not let anger control you, because when it does, others will turn away from you.
Always treat everyone with love and kindness. That way, just like a beautiful park, your life will stay full of peace, joy, and people who truly care for you.
