It was 2002, India was a country where science was taking a dark shape. The Science subject of Chemistry was used for unlawful purposes. Janardhan was then a student of IIMB in Bangalore. It was his first year in the college. IIMB was leading college in sale of Red Phosphorus which is additive drug.
There were many gangs which manufactured and sold the drug in packets varying from 1 gram to 1 kilogram each valuating from 30 to 3000/-. These gangs usually consisted of the students themselves. Janardhan was not a guy to get addicted. He was a topper and held a CGPA of 9.9 and never got a mark down. This still did not prevent him from getting addicted to the drug because the gangs sold it as red sugar in the little shop in the collage campus. He later got addicted to it and bought it every week. He later got to know it was Red Phosphorus. He wanted to get rid of it but he was so addicted that he could not. He was later pulled by the gangs to be a dealer. He served as a dealer for next 5 years. His marks went down and got a D grade MBA Degree rather than A grade which he deserved.
Rajeev was a family man who was a Chemist in XYZ Pharma Ltd. He was assigned a project to create a lipstick which can last for three days even after shower without fading away. He was in debt of 5 crore as he bought a new house. He was tensed by his poor financial decision as it was too late to get rid of the loan as he was 50 years old and was only 10 years away from retirement with a salary of 12 lakh per annum.
His wife Aradhya was qualified unemployed professional. She was a graduate of IIT Bombay with a BE Degree. She was recently fired from Microsoft Ltd due to recession of 2008. New house was bought in the belief of repaying because her previous salary was 30 lakh per annum. Over this he had a son named Sugreev who was 14 years old. He had to bore the expenses of his education. His friend Raheem was a NCB agent. One day Raheem and Rajeev were on a day out. Raheem recieves a call from his assistant Jhon. They rush to the crime scene. They arrested an assistant of Janardhan named Samuel and encountered a manufacturer named Lionel. Janardhan rushed out of the backgate and escaped. This was seen by Rajeev. He got an idea. He knew he was a capable chemist and manufacturing of Red Phosphorus was a capable business to repay the loan but he did not want his wife to know about it. He caught Janardhan and negotiated a deal to be partners to manufacture Red Phosphorus. He later bought a new phone to hide the matter from his wife. He reached home at the night. This led to her suspicion.
The next day, Rajeev brought advanced apparatus from his lab. He set up the drug lab in Janardhan's basement. They later began to manufacture the drug. Rajeev did it as part-time job. By the end of the month they had produced 15 kg of the drug. The problem was that they required a distributor. He got an idea as he saw a tender notice of Indian Railway for catering for 1 year on the newspaper. He started a new ghost catering company called AICS Ltd . He won the bidding and won the tender. They used the drug as sugar and salt in the food as it dissolved in water and oil. This food was served in the trains as catering. The people who ate the food also got addicted and booked tickets repeatedly in railways which made a profitable business for the Indian Railways. They later received 12 lakh per month. This money was divided ?6 lakh each between them which is a legal taxable fund. The residue which was left-overs was sold to local gangs which provided 6 lakh per month which was illegal fund. This was divided 3 lakh between them. This fund was invested by both in stock market. The returns from this is legal taxable fund. Everything was going smoothly.
The NCB had some doubt on their relations with the dealers as many of the partner dealers were arrested and they disclosed Rajeev's code name called Tribesman. New team was formed which was fortunately or unfortunately led by Raheem. Their search operations begins.
