Sitting, waiting for inspiration to ignite,
I lay out the canvas and set the brushes right.
I gaze upon the blank and silent space,
No sudden spark appears to take its place.
I contemplate and choose to recreate
An older work, to refine and elevate.
Soft music plays to soothe the quiet air;
The brushes wait, the water set with care,
The paints prepared, the heavy mind made still—
A gentle peace begins to flow and fill.
Without a rush, without a single sound,
A slow stroke glides across the waiting ground.
Another follows, steady, light, and free;
A wave of focus takes ahold of me.
Completely present, anchored in the now,
No thoughts distract, no doubts to disallow,
Just pure creation moving through the hand,
As unspoken visions seamlessly expand.
My eyes remain fixed on the growing scene,
Unaware of time passing in between,
Till detail forms beneath a practiced grace,
And beauty blooms to capture time and space.
Re-imagining a glowing sunrise bright,
More glorious than morning's early light,
It fills the heart with wonder and surprise,
Enfolded by the magic as it lies.
I share this presence born of peace profound,
Where quiet minds reach heights beyond compare,
And find true stillness in the art they share.
