It was a dark and stormy night when Detective Jameson received a call from the wealthy and reclusive Mr. Edward Blackstone. Blackstone's niece, Emma, had gone missing from his estate, Willow Manor.
Jameson arrived at the manor to find Blackstone frantic with worry. "She was in her room, detective," Blackstone explained. "I went to check on her, and she was gone!"
Jameson began to investigate, searching the manor from top to bottom. He found a suspicious letter opener on the floor of Emma's room, but no sign of forced entry or exit.
As Jameson questioned the staff, he discovered that Emma had been acting strangely in the days leading up to her disappearance. She had been seen arguing with Blackstone, and one of the maids reported hearing her cry out in the middle of the night.
Jameson's investigation led him to a surprising suspect: Blackstone himself. It turned out that Blackstone had been embezzling funds from his company, and Emma had discovered his scheme.
But just as Jameson thought he had solved the case, he received a shocking phone call. It was Emma, calling from a payphone. "I'm safe, detective," she said. "But I had to get out of there. My uncle is not what he seems."
Jameson was left with more questions than answers. What secrets was Blackstone hiding? And where was Emma, really?
The case remained unsolved, but Jameson was determined to uncover the truth. He knew that the key to solving the mystery lay hidden somewhere in the shadows of Willow Manor.
