The king and the Saint
Once upon a time there lived a king in the palace situated in the city of Rome.the king had a vast administration and his kingdom was fullof people,and minister .he was very greedy and selfish .he was not at all kind to the people .He took away people land in return of giving some money to them so they could lived their life happily .he was ruthless king ,who looted the people for his own sake . His wife named Cordelia was a kind-hearted person and always help and support the king and take care after the kingdom well.his behaviour was shrewd, not at all good to the people .
In the City of Rome ,The news spread that there was aSaint who can solve any problem in a very few minutes so the minister came up with the news about the Saint wisdom and informs the king about the Saint. No sooner the king heard the new planned to visit the Saint.
Now, the king early in the morning galloped his horses and move towards his journey .thesaints hut was very far from the city of Rome .he have to travelled near about 5 to 6 miles covering the distance he became very very tired and then stopped near the shade of trees and took some rest .In the meantime one beggar came and asking for almost as he hadn’t eaten food for two days so he requested king to give some money but the king was very selfish and greedy didn’t ga e single bucks and beggar with sad heart went away . Now he again decided to travel while hewas taking ride in the horse a pottermen who was very poor was selling potteries and he overtook the potteries and broke the potteries so the pottermen got heavy loss and he asked king to repay for it .The king told him it was just an accident he would not pay single money to him .Again the king went on its journey .Avery far he could see the Cows grazing in the field ,and the farmers were ploughing the seed and he fastly drove towards the farmers and uprooted the grasses and the ploughing field.The farmers crieand said to pay for it but the king nodded his head and didn’t pay single bucks.then he started for its journey now he felt thirsty and his horse want some refreshmesd so both went near the sea and took some water and the horse also taken some bath but there were washerman who was washing the clothes and they had made their clothes and dirty because of horse hooves so everything became dirty in the water and the washerman asked money for the clothes .but the greedy king didn’t pay anything.and he went on and on and finally reached the saint’s hut.The saint was very pious men welcomed the king with a warm juice,and offered him a lunch at his house.and told the king to take rest in the saint Hut .but the king told angrily the Saint that he comes to the hut just for his work to be done and he insulted the Saint that his palace was much better than king’s hut . The Saint comes to know before everything about the kings ‘ behaviour towards the people of kingdom and the travellers who was mistreated by the king during the travelling.The Saint also tried teach him a lesson. The Saint had a magical book in his house .there were some verses to read and have to say in the “pray ,Pray,Pray” these magical words spoken during the solving of the problem .
So the Saint asked ki h what was the reason to come to met Saint .The king told the Saint that he heard from the ministers that the Saint can solve any problem.The.saint replied “yes” in affirmative words .The king told that do something so that he could inherit the kingdom of Babylon and beecome the king of Babylon .so the Saint in his mind comes to know that the king was very very greedy for money so he will taught him lesson so he decided that he would solved the problem in negative response so that the king could realised his mistake and his karma would not spoil any ones life.so The Saint asked the king to repeat the magical words from the book”pray,pray,pray and whatever problem he was facing should bespoken to book so the king uttered his problem and the saint also said the book some magical words “ not ,not ,not”. So the king was leaving the Saint’s hut and galloped his horse as fast as he could reach the palace .Now the king in his kingdom decided to holdup for the meeting .In the meeting everyone from the Rome was invited to see the magic of Saint. Now the king told as it was written in the book “ pray, pray,pray and told his problem that wanted the kingdom of Babylon but as aSoon as he uttered the words the palace of king gone away ,there were no people,ministers and only the bareland left .Now the king started crying and realised that what he had done bad things to the people and generated a bad karmas so he had lost everything in his life and he felt sorry for his greediness and selfish ess”. So he came to know the lesson of karma.By doing bad things to the people nothing can be achieved only there will be a loss of things. So he called the Saint in his city and felt sorry for the bad things and cruelty he had done to the people .he apologized for his mistake and he told that he will repay everyone the money for the loss which he had done to the people of the king gdom and traveller and will repent the cost for it .He will give up wat and fighting in his kingdom and would become a disciple of Saint and would help him to preach the teachings and knowledge of Saint in his kingdom .He would never cheat people and took people’s land and money for his greediness and wiwould never thought of inheriting thekingdom of Babylon.and would help everyone to be kind and true to the people of ki gdom and would think for the welfare of the kingdom.
