Once upon a time, there lived a king with his beautiful daughter Anna. Anna's mother had died long back due to illness. The King had raised Anna with utmost love and care. The King had built a beautiful palace for the princess to protect her from the outside world. As the princess grew older her craving to see the outside world grew much stronger.
Anna's only hope was her helper who narrated her stories of the outside world. Once it so happened that the helper was able to sneak Anna to a nearby village.
Princess Anna was excited and overwhelmed to see the villagers and fully enjoyed that day. The next day again they repeated the same sequence.
Over a period, the king got suspicious that something fishy was going around. Princess Anna looked sad and pleaded with the King to let her see the outside world but he never agreed to that. But this time round Anna looked happy and did not request to see the outside world.
The King appointed spies so that they could keep an eye on the princess including the helper.
Within a few days, the spies informed the King about the whereabouts of Princess Anna and her helper. The King decided to investigate the matter himself. The next day the King disguised himself and followed the princess and her helper, to his surprise the princess routed towards the village.
The king was spellbound by the generosity shown by the princess to the villagers. Princess Anna provided food clothing and shelter to the poor. She also listened to their plights and their basic needs of day-to-day life.
The king was quite impressed by his daughter's active involvement with the villagers and how efficiently she handled the situation. The King was always worried about a righteous heir to the throne but was now assured that the kingdom was going into the right hands.
The King immediately removed his disguise and came right in front of his daughter Anna. Princess Anna was taken aback by the sudden turn of events and was terrified that she would be punished. As the princess looked at the king with fearful eyes, he seemed to be quite relaxed.
King told Anna that he was proud of her and the way she interacted with the villagers. The King said that he was angry that without his information the princess used to go out. But after seeing how she the poor and the needy his anger vanished into thin air and was very proud of her.
The king announced a big celebration party then and there and all the people of his kingdom were invited. There was a lavish party thrown by the King where he announced that, Princess Anna would be the righteous heir to his kingdom.
Thanks a lot for giving an ear to my story.
