It was the month of december where the winds are spine chilling and it was cutting across the usual daydreams of Savannah.

As I stood outside the thatched hut, my heart raced with fear and curiosity. I had heard the rumors about this place, but I never imagined I would be standing here one day. Savannah, a high school girl and an orphan, with no friends or family left, was my only companion. She had told me about this hut in the foggy hills, where people went in alive but never came out. I didn't believe her at first, but her words had a certain eerie conviction that sent shivers down my spine. Thomas, the woodcutter, had warned us to stay away from this place. He said it was cursed and that whoever entered never returned. But, Julia, Savannah's aunt, insisted on going inside. She was the lady with the lizard pet, always fascinated by the unknown and the supernatural. Peter, the stableman and my love, had also joined us. He didn't believe in curses or ghosts, but he couldn't let me go alone. I knew he was worried about me, and I was grateful for his support.

As we entered the hut, we were greeted by a musty smell and cobwebs all around. The broken windows allowed a thin layer of fog to seep in, making it hard to see. The only source of light was a dimly lit lantern on the corner table. I could feel my heart thumping in my chest as we cautiously made our way through the hut. Every creak and rustle sent chills down my spine. Suddenly, we heard a loud thud, and we all froze in fear. Someone, or something, was in here with us.

We searched every corner, but there was no one there. Just as we were about to leave, we heard a whisper, "You will never leave this place alive." Panicked, we ran out of the hut, not stopping until we were far away. It was then that we realized that Julia was missing. We searched for her, but she was nowhere to be found. That's when we understood the curse of the hut in the foggy hills. Everyone who entered came out dead because they never truly left.
