Everyone argues about the "natural" human diet. We have so many influencers, doctors, nutrition specialist all telling us a different answer. None of them address the truth: the diets our culture and society cling to are for the privileged. The wealthy...and they do not consider the truth: most of the population can't afford them. Most of the population are struggling. Yet, there is a true diet made for humans that is cheap and available everywhere. It just takes some planning and understanding the evidence out there. It just means examining your own wallet and choosing how to make it work in the best way possible when it comes to the table and mealtimes. We can eat well, even on a budget. The advice and guidance in this book is for the average person who is on a budget and wants t o eat well and eat every day without the constant fear that it is too expensive. This is how I live, how I eat. The weekly grocery budget of $35 a week, that is really my budget and it works on a per person basis. If you have more than one person in your family, then increase the budget to an additional $35 a week per person. And before you wonder what you are giving up: I don't limit. I eat a treat every week, I do celebrate holidays and special occasions. I just don't spend most of my income to do it. I live this way because I enjoy it. I do not do it to be "better" than someone else. I just like living simply, living cheaply, and eating well. If you like at least the eating well part without spending most of your check at the grocery store, this book may be of some assistance. Of course, you can implement some of the other things that I mention if you want, but really, it's ok if you don't. You don't have to live like me to eat well....you just have to pick and choose what serves you and leave the rest behind.
