One day, my best friends, Myelle and Naomi, and I gossiped under the stairs while eating s’mores. Soon after, we got bored, so Naomi suggested playing truth or dare. We both agreed with the idea. “Hmm..Okay, Nomi. Truth or dare?” Myelle asked Naomi. “Umm…Truth,” Naomi replied, hesitantly. “What is the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought?” Myelle then asked. “Oh, that’s easy! I bought the latest iPhone,” Naomi replied. Myelle and I both looked at each other and then shrugged.
“That explains the new phone case,” I said, scratching my head. Myelle just nodded in agreement. “Alright, Mye, truth or dare?” I asked Myelle. “Truth,” Myelle replied confidently. “What is your favorite book of all time?” I ask. Before I could rethink my question, she quickly replied, “Harry Potter, of course! It’s my lifeline!” Naomi and I just facepalmed ourselves at the same time. Of course, she likes Harry Potter. She never stopped talking about it.
“Never mind. Anyway, it’s your turn,” Naomi said, looking at me. “Truth or dare?” I thought to myself for a moment before replying, “Dare. No one else picked it, so why not?” Naomi thought for a moment, then said, “I dare you to go into that abandoned hospital over by Mr Samuel’s house.” “What?! Never mind!” I yelled in panic. “Aw, come on, don’t be scared,” Naomi said. “Yeah, we’ll come with you,” Myelle added. After a moment of thought, I finally agreed. We got up from the wooden logs and headed for the abandoned hospital.
As we slowly approached the hospital, I noticed multiple cobwebs and remembered that Myelle is terrified of spiders. “Um…Maybe I’ll wait out here for you girls,” Myelle said, backing up. Naomi and I looked at each other and shrugged. “Alright, I guess,” Naomi said before following me into the hospital. Once we got inside the hospital, we were greeted by the smell of old books and test tubes with green-looking goo. “I wonder what happened here,” I muttered to myself. “Yeah, good question,” Naomi said in response. The deeper we got, the darker it got. Soon after, it was pitch black. We turned on our phones’ flashlights just to see a large group of venomous snakes chilling in the dark. I took off running so fast that I probably could race Usain Bolt! I never knew my feet could move so fast! Up to this day, I still don’t know what happened to my friends.
