A NIGHT IN SALEM.

Green's POV.

I was home alone, reading my favorite thriller novel when I heard a scratching noise at the window. I felt a chill run down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, I felt like I was being watched.

Looking outside the window , I saw nothing but the darkness of the night.

Still, I can not shake the feeling that something was out there, watching me.

As I stepped outside, I saw a dark figure running into the woods right behind our house. I froze in fear but something compelled me to follow it.

I start walking, and then I ran, and soon I was in the forest.

The trees looked over me and the darkness began to feel suffocating. I try to catch up to the figure but it was always out of reach.

Missing my step, I tripped and fell to the ground. Looking up I saw a figure , the same one I saw few minutes ago. It's was a huge monstrous, shadowy creature that had glowing red eyes.

As the creature looms over me, I felt primal fear taking over me. The creature reached out a clawed hand and touched my cheek.

"Stay away from me!" I said, sprang to my feet and started running.

As I ran through the woods, I stumbled upon an old graveyard. "What the hell?" I mumbled under my breath.

The gravestones were cracked and crumbling, all the dead bodies that once laid beneath it were lying on the ground.

As I looked closer, I let out a horrifying scream, the sight in front of me made my stomach churn,I saw the bodies were decayed and covered in maggots.

My scream attracted the creature's attention and it charges towards me again, its dagger aiming for my neck.

I tried to run but my geek feel as if they are stuck in mud. I could not move as the creature advances, his red eyes burning into me. I tried to scream but no sound came out. The creature moves close, It's clawed hands reaching out towards me.

The creature's dagger grazes my neck and I felt a sharp pain as a thin stream of blood began to drip down my skin. I used the moment of surprise to run, thankfully my legs cooperated.

I could hear the creature behind me, gaining on me. But I ran faster , looking over my shoulder each time, I saw the creature taking on different forms.

I pushed harder, sprinting faster, I saw our house.

I knew the only way I would escape from the cold claws of this creature, I had to be in our house.

As I approached the house, I was met with a horrific sight. My parents' bodies were hanging from the tree.

The creature was gaining on me, I looked around frantically, trying to find a way to escape.

My eyes land on a window of our house, it was open. Sprinting towards the window, I dived through it. Landing on the floor inside, I quickly scrambled to my feet and looked around.

This was the smallest room in the house, it used to my sister's room before she disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

I could hear the creature pounding on the front door. I was scared but I knew I had to escape.

The door was flung open and the creature walks in, his dagger's blade was bloody. I thought of running upstairs, but the staircase was not there .

In panic, I started to take steps back. My back soon touched the chest of a person. I instantly froze, holding my breath, I was scared to death.

"Hi sister" I heard an oddly familiar voice say.

I turned and saw my sister, my jaw dropped to the floor. "May.. you... I thought.. what is happening?" I asked as my eyes darted to the dagger in my sister's hand.

With a small smile on her face, May lunges ask me with the dagger. I narrowly dodged the blow, using a nearby chair as shield. My sister kept coming at me? Slashing the air with her dagger.

"Common Green, come out and let us play. It is a very fun game to play Eva. The rules are simple, miss my dagger or have a body full of deep cuts. Common Green, the longer you hide the more painful your death will be." May said , in a low and dangerous voice that sent chills down my spine .

I was breathing heavily and I knew that I could not keep up much longer. I had to find a way to escape from this horror house.

Seeing an opening, I hit May's head with the chair and ran out of the house.

Suddenly the house was in the middle of a graveyard and I was surrounded by gravestones, the creature blocking its only exit.

As I backed away from the creature, I stumbled and fell to the ground. I looked up and it's standing over me, it's eyes glowing in the darkness, it's raised it dagger, ready to strike . Closing my eyes in fear, I was completely at the creature's mercy.

Holding my breath, I expected a dagger in my chest anytime soon. But the opposite happened, everywhere was silent.

Slowly, I opened my eyes and I saw the creature as it clinched then lowered it dagger.

It looked up as if it heard something, something that I could not hear. The only sound heard was the wind howling.

Suddenly, the creature sprints away and disappeared into the darkness.

I quickly rose to my feet" what just happened?" I asked myself.

Suddenly the graveyard became empty, no gravestones no nothing.

"What is happening? Few minutes ago this place was a graveyard, there were corpses lying all over the floor.

And now.. it's all gone!

" I got to get out of here" I said, running as fast as I could, but my legs felt heavy .

"Where are you going" the creature asked, emerging from the shadows.
