It was a breezy winter's day, mittens and coats arose after the sudden temperature drop from the thunderstorm from the weekend before. Jack, a tall guy, standing at six feet, with long shaggy hair that covered most of his face, grabbed his jacket and made his way to school. He was very introverted, enjoyed listening to music and visiting record stores in his free time. He wasn’t great at making friends, and mostly walked through the hallways of his school with wired headphones attached to his ears. This made him mysterious as many didn’t know much about him. Making his way through the large corridors opening to his school. He saw Lily, she is a sweet, outgoing girl who is also known for her kindness and bubbly personality. She has many friends but didn’t like to be considered popular as she doesn’t care about the social status. Lily was also a cheerleader; she's been one since freshman year. Just something about those Friday night football games gave her some type of excitement. Jack has had his eyes on her since freshman year and now they are seniors. Jack has finally decided to build the courage to ask her on a date.
As the day goes on, Jack has finally reached his lunch period. He gets his brown paper sack lunch and decides to sit in the library, trying to figure out what he will say to Lily. Jack hasn’t had much experience with any girls, being so nervous when even talking to someone. Jack just sits, trying to think so he doesn’t make a fool of himself. The bell rings and lunch is over, He heads to 6th period Government class, where he and Lily share the same class. Jack walks in and sits in the very back, the lights are dimmed, and the window blinds are slightly open just enough for a little bit of light to peak through. Lily walks in laughing with her friends, they all sit in the row above Jack with Lily right in front of him and waves, he waves back and tries talking to her, but gets interrupted by her friends. Jack rips a piece of paper and writes
“Would you like to go on a date with me Friday night at 8:30?”, nervously slipping the paper onto her desk she reads it and writes back.
To Jacks surprise, she wrote “Yes, I would love to!” and wrote down her address.
The week was slowly going by, and Jack was longing for Friday night to come, he still just couldn’t believe it! His crush said yes to a date! Of course, Lily has been on dates and been in relationships, but her relationships never seem to last long, she’s never even dated anyone from her school, Jack was the first. Jack, on the other hand, has never been in a relationship or on a date, he always had his eyes on her and her only.
Friday night finally arrives. Jack puts on some cologne, walks out of the house and gets into his car, wearing a nice warm black sweatshirt, a pair of dark blue baggy jeans, and his black high-top Converse shoes. As Jack drives to Lily’s house, he turns on the radio to listen to music. Finally, he reaches her house, he goes up to her door and knocks twice, the door opens, and Lily’s mother is there.
“Hi, Ms. Anderson, my name is Jack,” he says nervously.
“Hello Jack, are you here to pick up Lily? She has been talking about this date all week and how excited she is.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Jack smiles and laughs.
Lily comes to the door, her shiny soft hair curled, wearing a light pink flowy dress, that doesn’t go below her knees but not too much above, with white high-top Converse. Jack had an amazed look in his eyes.
“Are you ready to go?” Jack says while holding out his hand for Lily to grab, and they start walking to the car.
“Be home by 11 pm!” Lilys mom sternly shouted.
“Of course, Ms. Anderson. And it's nice to meet you.” As they walk to the car, Jack opens the door for her, and Lily gets in and thanks him. They buckle up and Jack drives off. On the way to the movies, Jack and Lily start a conversation, getting to know each other a bit more. Finally, they arrived at the movie theaters.
Jack says, “I got us tickets to the new Christmas movie that just came out!”
Lily was excited, she loves Christmas movies! They walk into the movie theater and go to the concession stand.
“Hello. What would you both like?” says the worker.
“Can we get a medium popcorn and two medium sodas please?” Jack asked.
“Of course, here you go, and enjoy the movie!” exclaimed the worker. Jack pays and the two then walk to the ticket taker and show him the tickets.
“Okay you two are good to go! Enjoy the movie.” said the worker.
“Thank you, have a good night.” they both said.
Jack and Lily make their way into the theater and sit down.
After the movie Jack then takes Lily out to a diner. When they arrive, they both go in and sit down. Shortly after a lady comes by and gives them menus, Jack and Lily don’t bother to look at the menus because they already know what they want.
“Two of the number 3s with a vanilla milkshake please.” Jack says.
“Coming right up!” says the waitress.
As they waited for their food, they started to talk to get to know more about each other; they were both having a great time, laughing and enjoying each other's company.
“Here you go, enjoy!” the waitress says.
“Thank you!” Jack says as he hands Lily her food.
“Oh my gosh, their food is always the best!” Lily exclaimed with a smile on her face.
“I know right!” as Jack agreed.
Finally, they both finish their meals, and Lily says she wants to show Jack a place that is meaningful to her. Jack pays for their food and they both walk to the car, Lily asked if she could drive to this special place and Jack agrees. As she is driving, they exit town, it's dark and the only thing that gives out light is the moon and shining stars. They get to an empty field and Lily parks the car. They both get out and then sit on the ground, watching the stars shine. Just then Jack is about to speak but before he even can, he gets hit with something hard and everything goes black. Lily drags him into the car and then takes him to a small dark shed, the paint peeling off little by little, parts of the shed getting rusty. She opens the door and drags Jack in, where there is a small light, just enough for her to see. On the wall there’s many knives and tools, ropes and more. Jack is finally waking up and everything is blurry, slowly regaining his conscience, he sees a familiar face and soon realizes it is Lily. Being shocked by what he sees, he struggles to speak.
