Do not believe in what is not proven
Or
Is a Mystery still a Mystery after the solution is known by one?

So I am going to start this off by saying this is my sounding board. You see, I risk my life for this city time and time again, and not even a thank you. But when things are not timed right, and the cops see me save their butts in a not-so-proper way, even though it worked, I get taken to the office of the chief.
I can not tell you what I did or to whom or even why, because if I do, they will set a murder charge I can not delay, because they were right. I did remove a non-human from the earth so they would no longer kill us in our sleep.
I will bet my life that the LA murders that have gone on since 1878, every 7 years, will stop. I know we will not know for seven years, but there will be no need to mark your calendar and keep your pets inside any longer because it is gone now.
And what do I get?
I get thrown out of my home and put on the road to another big city with a job waiting for me at a great Chicago paper.
You see, I did make one deal. I do not tell on them, and they do not tell on me, so there is no record of what happened but this. And this little blurb is not closed. My 66 and I are gone, baby, by way of Las Vegas for a quick stop at a girl I know there for just a couch sleepover, and away up the 17 to 70 to 76 to 80 to lovely Chicago. I do hope I can handle the cold winters.
So I must say it, so long, LA. Hope you don’t fall into the ocean someday. Ya there are people on the street corners, saying they will all die in a great flood as everything west of the fault breaks off. Well, it was 1999, then it moved to 2000, and the latest is 2022, the land of the twos, so we will see in a year now.
So here I am. I got the TV, microwave, and a few bags of things. Yes, I said bags because the cops came to my place, helped me move, and got me on the road right then. No goodbyes. No tickets to a show first. Just later, Karl, don’t let the city hit you in the ass on the way out past the state line.
So I am on the road with my 1966 Ford Mustang. I am sure I talked to you about that before. Anyway, I stopped at a rest stop so I could put this on paper because I had to tell someone, and you are all I can tell. These files, ten plus a secret file of them now, the files that prove I single-handedly saved this city from the scum that was living on every corner.
So it looks like rain, so I am going to start on the road again. But really, no time and garbage bags are the way I move out of fifteen years of my life to a new place. I needed to get some repairs already prepaid next week on her, so I hope she gets me to the big little wind tunnel of the north and the Sears Tower, if it is still called that. I would not know; things change their names so much now.
So here I am in Vegas at Jenny’s house, and she is letting me stay in the spare room. I am not here for romance, just a sleepover, so I can get on the roads since my 66 had a few problems on the way, so I will be staying around until the garage can get the proper parts for her. I do not allow the china crap on this baby; it has to be original, so a bit more and a bit longer, but with friends around like my Jenny here, I can wait a week with no problems.
I will get dinner for the week for her to pay for the hot air and water I waste here.
So, back to why I am here. My car needs to be fixed. Why Las Vegas. I know a great, kind person here.
I hope for no more than a week. So on my way east, what could go wrong?

Rewind the past
I know, a new chapter so fast. Well, this is an account, and I think that when everything undergoes a sudden change, it is time to let go of the last thought.
You see, I was minding my own business when I heard someone scream, “Help me,” down an alley. Ya, I know, I have already been called stupid many times, I know, but I had a feeling that I had to see. So there was a thing over a girl. It brought back the nightmares from the swamp beast in L.A., and I had to do something. You see, that is me, always doing instead of running.
So I found a pole and hit the thing in the head. It just fell over, and then it was a kid. The lady, well, she is big-time dead, believe me. So I went out onto the road and looked for someone to flag down. Nothing. So I walked until I found a phone, called 911, and told my tale. She said, “Please go back there for more details, OK.”
So what happens, can you guess? I got arrested because the boy who was hit and passed out is now gone. I even said, “Does it look like I just ate half a girl? Pump me out, you will find a burger, and that is it.”
So I just got out of the courthouse and had to put this down in case I have to go back, so it can jog my memory. Then I thought Vegas is the place where anything can happen, and it will be forgotten just as fast, or I can use the Vegas sales pitch, if it happens in Vegas, it stays in Vegas. Nothing like knowing you can be an idiot and go home to your family knowing it never really happened.
So I knew one thing. It was time for me to find a friend. So I got out the card I could barely read anymore and gave it to a cabbie and said, “Can you go there?” Of course, I got the cabbie saying, “Me not an idiot, what do you think I drove all day to see the birds hit me car, guy?” I must say I had no answer for a statement like that, so I just sat back and hoped he knew where he was going.
When he came up to what looked like a street right out of a horror novel and said, “Here you go, mister,” and he pointed to a sign on an old door that did not even look closed, I then looked at my card, and they matched, so I paid him. Then I got the fear that he would drive off, and I was going to be attacked by some unseen thing here.
When I walked over and knocked on the door a few times with no answer, I opened it and went into the dark hallway, again looking like I was walking into a book, and I had to think, why am I doing this? There were many doors, but when I looked at the card, I knew I needed door J, so almost at the end of the hall, there was a J painted on the door with what looked like the old white-out I used to use. I then knocked again, not knowing who would be answering, so I backed up and waited as I heard footsteps approach the door, then the knob. I did not know if my friend was even still here, so I held my breath a bit until the door was opened.
As Willy opened the door slowly and said, “I guess you got done with the hills and mess as well, my friend,” and gave me a hug as he walked me inside and locked the three locks on the door, along with a steel rod that went against the door as well.
As I walked into the home, I noticed something and had to ask right then, “Willy, is that metal covering the walls, my friend?” We stopped, and Willy said, “Karl, you knew me as that strange guy in the corner of the bar, but I am guessing you always knew there was more there, so how long do you have to stay? And yes, the house is covered in ½ lead shielding, not from a bomb but from interference and noisy minds.”
As we walked, he pulled out a chair, so I sat. Then Willy sat in his same chair, which he had always had at the bar, where I had to comment, “Do you ever plan on getting rid of that old chair? I think you have had it forever now, and it still sits.”
That was when he said something so strange that it stayed with me for years, until I got meaning from those words in another very interesting time. He said, “No, I probably won’t, since it is made of dark, dead wood. It will last forever.”
Then Willy started by asking me, “Karl, I have been dying inside for years now wanting to tell someone, and since you are my friend, do you want to be the only person that knows who I really am? Even though you can never tell anyone.”
I looked at the man I have known for almost ten years now and realized I did not truly know Willy for what he was. I did have my moments where things did not fit together, but he was just always Willy.
And I told him, “If you have a need to tell, I can always listen. I will tell you if you’re full of crap or not when you’re done, however, Willy.” We both laughed as he went and got us both a drink, and I sat there, a story I would never have believed, and did not then, not knowing how it was about to unfold. But now, with my life as it has become, I am glad that, while I was away at Willy’s, I recorded these tapes, as I did not have my memory then as I do now.
Willy started as I sat back and sipped my drink a bit at a time. “Well, Karl, you did know, I think, that I was at a university once, but what I am sure you did not know is that the year I was there was 1923, and yes, I am in real calendar time 121 now, Karl.”
I got up and said, “Willy, I thought you were going to tell me the facts of your life and not a fantasy tale from a book you were reading, man.”
Right then, Willy started placing what he called evidence on the table. Six pieces of evidence. Then he said, “Come look, my friend. They are old but not crumbling yet.”
So I walked back over and sat while I looked at them, and I said into the recorder right then, “So I have been told something unreal by an unreal man. I have also been given six parts of his past, which I will now describe one at a time in this log file. I see a driver’s license made out to Wilson Wilbertson, with a birth date of June 12th, 1900, and it is very old, with a picture that does look like my friend. It is large and in small print states, two occupant motor cars only. My next piece of clutter he has given me is a wedding license from 1930, where his name and age are clear and are the same as on the first. I now have in my hand a University of New York professor badge with the same name, and all seems proper. It even has a thumbprint on the rear of the badge. It seems real because I know that during that time, a thumbprint was said to be high security for many places. I now change and move to a different type of paper. It seems almost like a soft rubber material, but not like I have ever seen before, and it says Professor Wilberton Planet Pass for a 20-day visit to Ubliad. I do not know how real this is since I have no idea what this is, but on the back, there is a picture of a planet that is like nothing I have ever seen. It seems like it is spinning and even has a rainstorm with lightning. I will need to add this to a what-the-hell pile. And I do see what the fourth item placed on the table is. It is a driver’s license again, with Willy’s last name replaced by Rogers, and it states he was born in 1985. However, the date is the same as the first, and it is a real California driver’s license with the proper seal and all, so it states Willy is thirty-six now. Our fifth piece of evidence is a registration for a town called Wilksons, and it, according to this, is on Ubliad. It states in English that you have only 25 more days till your departure home. I have no way to know if this is real or came from a cereal box.”
Wait a minute. Willy is picking up this badge and pulling on the side where a full planet view is shown. It almost looks like a 3D drawing, except for a storm over part of the picture. Willy just told me this is a life drawing that will show true conditions until the end of time as we know it.
“Now the sixth and final is a flyer that again is made of that rubbery material, but this is a receipt combined with a sales movie or something. If I turn it over, on the back has a list of items purchased, and the list is A love for all books, Black wavy hair, Ability to talk in all dialects, then after that it is chosen to the USA on Earth-3227. And the time for return to the home planet is set for October 31st, 2005. Then there are before-and-after shots where you can see an old man not able to walk straight, and then a younger man with pride and a smile in his step. So I must say these items all look as if they were real, and the projector came from a business card, with no more at all.”
Then Willy told me, “Karl, you ready to listen for real now, since you have a fear in you, I might not be mad and am still your friend?” I then looked at him, saying, “So, my real old friend, I guess let’s hear the story, and I will decide when you get done, ok Willy?”
Then he began as he lay back in his old-as-dirt chair. “You know, Karl, in the original days, things were not as easy as they are now, but then other things were even easier. You see, there was no commission, boards, and so on. All you had to do was sound like you were who you wanted to be, and you got a paper that said it was true. Kind of like online now, where you can call yourself what you want, and you become them. So the most prestigious place in the land was the University of New York, so of course I walked in there and just stayed around for a few days listening, which turned into weeks. Then people would just start talking to me. You see, I started to dress as the high-ups did. Of course, I stole most of those clothes, but that was not even suspected. I think it was about two months of me just watching and listening to what was being said when a professor came by and asked my opinion on a problem he was trying to solve, and, by luck, another person had explained the solution the previous day. So I started the opinion that was not really mine, and as he walked, so did I, and we walked right into the main entrance, where I did not have my badge, and Professor Roberts, I believe, said to the guard just give? And that was when I told him Professor Wilberton, and that was it. With a pass, I was allowed to go everywhere and learn what others already knew. And then it started. After almost four months, I was an official teacher of the word of the books. As I learned the night before and taught the next day, as the class learned so did I. I, however, always put a spin on what the books said, adding a bit of spice to the world of the theory, until there was an older man in the back of the room for a few days as I taught what the book said with some extra flair. After the third day of him being there, as the students left, he came down and asked me my name. As I told him what I was given that day months ago, he said he was Dr. Wilford Wright, and he had a few things he wanted to discuss.
Now, Karl, I was pulling a gag at this point, being paid to be a parrot of sorts, so I said sure. Then I closed the book I was dispersing to the class right then and saw the name on the cover. Karl, can you guess the name, my friend?”
I looked at my older friend and said, “No, it was not!” And he looked back at me and nodded. “Yes, it was Dr. Wilford Wright in my fake classroom wanting to talk to me further about what I had just read back to the class, and I had no idea how the thought was to end because it was on the next page that I had not even looked at yet. So, I went off thinking the gig was up and I was going to be gone in an hour, to jail or something. However, that was not it at all. You see, the older doctor was not well, and he would not be on this earth much longer. He came to my class because others told him of a man who thought as he did, and thought I would make a great pupil to learn his strange ways of the world. Well, I knew nothing, so what he said was gold to me as I just listened and absorbed all he had to teach me. And before I even knew what was happening, I began to give him my ideas as I would spend nights studying and grasping the idea he had that there was more than just a single experience, as he called it, going on at the same time. And ghosts were just the wall of time becoming thin, so we could see the other side of time. I must tell you, Karl, I was never more alive than when I would listen to this man, who, as of now, I know was not a crackpot as he was labeled, but he was the smartest man that no one ever knew was alive. That summer with Willy was great, and that is why I use his name today because of the respect for the world around the world that he gave me. I hate to say it even now, but Dr Wright died later that year, but not before leaving all he owned to me as ‘the only man that ever understood me,’ so I had it all, a professor's name, a house, a fortune, and even a girl from one of my classes that returned after she graduated and started sitting in as I spoke. We were married almost a year after Wright’s death. And no, Karl, I never did tell her my story, and towards her end, it was very hard on me in my heart that I had secrets.”
Just then, he came to me, looking at me way closer than he ever did, with a tear falling down his face, and he said to me, “Karl, please promise me one thing I can have you take from me, my friend. If you ever meet that one true person, dump your heart on her and tell her all you have ever done. I swear to you, Karl, if she were meant for you, she will love you even more for that. You can never go to true love and bonding with a chasm of doubt in your heart, my friend. Always be truthful, and that will bring you two closer than dirt particles.”
With that last word, Willy got up and got a real drink from his bar, the first I have ever seen him drink in our ten years of knowing each other. He walked to the window, looking out onto, well, nothing but wood beyond the window. Then he turned back to me, wiping at his eyes and face, and said, “Well, I guess you could not figure out why I am here yet, so I best get going before they come out tonight.” And then I started looking out the window, wondering what they were and if I would be safe from them.
He started again. “So you see, after her death from a cancer that got in her bones and ate her from the inside, by the end, I was pulling every favor I had for morphine to stop her pain until she passed. I had no kids. I had no friends because I stayed in, and they just forgot about me. But what I did have, and they had no opinion of my choices, were books, and I did enjoy the path of information. I started to read every book Dr. Wright ever purchased, room by room, page by page, and the picture of what he was saying at the end became so clear to me. And I knew I could build a pathway machine like nothing ever on this earth. And Karl, what did I care if I blew myself up or left forever? I had nothing owed or wanted here. It took almost two years of living like a mogul on whatever I could find. I did have a food guy who came by once a week, dropped a bag, and took his due, so I never left the house. Then it came time for me to test my machine. I put a rat I caught in a cage and sent him to where I was going to go, and then brought him back, at least what was left of him back. The cage was torn open, and he was bitten in half. So I adjusted until the pathway was safe for my test. That was the first time I was clean-shaven in almost a year. So I went to where the machine took me with a one-hour timer so I could come back. But can you guess where I ended up, Karl, from what I said so far?”
I looked at him, still wondering if this was true, and said, “The planet Ubliad?”
Willy jumped up, saying, “I knew you would listen to me, Karl. I just knew it, my friend.”
And then he sat back down again as he started. “So when I was sent there, it was not like anything I knew at home, so I started to wander and found a village of people something like me, and you can guess what happened, Karl, can’t you?” I said to him, “You forgot the timer?” “Ya, Karl, I was stuck there in another world with nothing, so I started just like I did here, learning their ways and customs, living on the street, and finding what I could until I came across the Institute of Earth Science, and I was confused on why it was even there. So when I walked in, I was treated to a cleaning and new clothes, and I still did not know why until I was brought to the classroom where there were men and women in cages like monkeys, and there were things being done to them. And the one thing I could not believe was that one of them looked like my wife in every way. Then, when I walked over to that cage, she said to me, ‘Willy,’ and I did not know how or why, but I knew that was my true wife, locked up like an animal, and my mind could not take it. I ran, man, I mean I ran as far as I could away from that place until I knew that I could do something to stop this, and I knew I had to, or I myself was not human at all. So I went back and told them so much they did not know, and started to feed the wife there and spent time talking to her. I needed to be sure she was not just a copy, but she was real. I planned by looking for every book I could find about this place, and that was when I found the special book I showed you before in the bar. It was over 900 years old and still looked new then. I started to build my bag of stuff to take. I only had one more thing to find: how they moved to Earth. And then I found it was located in the basement of the building, the same machine that I built myself. It made no sense to me how it was, but it was there, and I knew it was time. However, by that point, I was old and could barely walk, so I would go back to Earth just to die. Karl, I was desperate. I had my transport, my wife, a bag of proof, but I was old then, almost 70, and I knew I would not make the journey back and be alive. That is when I looked all over the ground, and they had the grand opening of the ‘you were then is now’ machine, so I went there for a visit, got the price and time needed, and I started to steal from society bit by bit until I had enough to buy my youth. So it was set, a simple plan, and as I always tell you, the simple plans are the ones with many holes, Karl.”
I had to ask a question right then of this marvel of storytelling, because I did not believe anything he said to this point. “Willy, did you never think of just staying there in this place where you were treated like a king of knowledge?” He looked at me and told me in one simple word, “NO, NEVER, Karl,” and then he continued, “You know, Karl, there was more I did not tell you that made staying away not possible, not even adding in that my wife was there safe, and I just saw her die in my arms with so much pain. But as I always say again, the spaces are where the flaws hide. So I had it written down.” He pulled a real small paper off the desk and gave it to me, where it said, 1, get young and strong, 2, get the books needed to prove this was real, 3, free my darling, 4, jump to the Earth of our dreams, 5, just be happy again. I turned back to him and said, “Ya, Willy, simple plan, then what?” As he laughed a bit, he said, " Then everything went wrong after number one. “You see, Karl, I got put back in age as they said, but now my ID no longer worked to get in after hours, so I had to break in with an alarm going off, grabbed my bag, broke the lock, got my wife out, and jumped into the machine that was set to two years before I left. So I had to live in hiding before I could go to the house again. Surprisingly, my wife never minded and lived on little food. I guess that should have been a sign, but I wanted so much that what was real never registered with me for real. Finally, the day came. I watched my last food delivery and waited three hours before I was gone, and went into my home, where there were people stealing my machine, and then they poofed away with the machine. I guessed that is when they knew my plans and just played games with me all those years waiting.”
Right then, he got up out of his chair and said, “Come on, my friend, time for another proof of what I am saying to you.” I followed down the hall and to the last room, where he stood there and said, “There is nothing here to hurt you, my friend. There is not even a speck of evil or bad in here, Karl.” Then he opened the door, and I almost fell as I had to rest on the door sill, when what was once his wife’s copy said, “Baby, you brought a friend? Is he going to play cards with us later, honey?” I had to go back to the chair I was sitting in, and Willy gave me a drink, and I chugged it for fake courage. I had no real fault in me for not believing. However, that was no longer a problem in my head anymore. You see, what was in that room was his wife, kind of all that needed to be head, neck, half the arms, and feet. The rest was just a machine, so he brought back not his wife but a copy made so the class could learn like it was real. And I just sat there, saying to all that could hear in a whisper, “Why, why? It cannot be. This is now and not the future!” That is when Willy came over to me and put his hand on my shoulder and said, “Karl, we are not done yet. Do not lose yourself already, or the story will never be told, my friend.”
As he sat back down and started to talk again, now in a small voice with much emotion and no excitement like he had before, “Karl, when I got here, I was sure I won until it was time to clean up, and I did just what you did. You see, she is not a she. It was a recorded copy from my own mind when I first got here and passed out, so I guess you can say they stole her from me, and I stole her back. She has all the thoughts I ever had about her, everything she ever said, but it is flat, just flat playback. Some days it is hard having her out here sitting with her covers on, like today. She is in there because I had a bad night last night. You see, they know what I did, and they try to take me and her both back. That is why the walls are as they are, so they cannot track her signal through them. You see, when I was at the bar, there was a metal lock box out back where she would stay when I was inside, so I stayed there. But also, the book I took was the property of the founder, and it has all his secrets he was passing off as his own, kind of like what I did originally. So I do not know what has come of him since I have his book still, somewhere in the piles here. So Karl, what do you think of me now, a fake and a fool all in one package, my friend?”
At that, I got up and walked around the room as I do when I am thinking. And I turned to Willy and said, “Willy, you will always be my friend, and you might be a fool as you follow your dreams, but you will never be fake because you have the knowledge I have always asked for, you will always tell. You have the heart, as I can see, because you feel for that machine in the room, and you have a soul because you needed to come back to this place where your true love once walked. So, no, Willy, I will never call you a fake fool. You are very smart, and I am truly upset you must live like this because of a dream you once had to become yourself again. Now let me ask you one thing, is there anything I can do that will help you, Willy, to move on to the real life you deserve?” And with that question now in play, he walked, looking at the pictures on the wall of what I guess was his wedding, and the ones from when they first met. He came back and sat down in his own dead wood chair and looked at me as he shook his head, saying, “Karl, I lived more than most dream of living. If all were fair, I would be in the ground now, or if I looked harder and did not hope so much for what was not real. So no, Karl, I am fine and will live as I am and give that machine in there a life as well. Some days, I can dream of what once was while only looking at her smile at me. I now also can see the time, the time of the searching. You see, every night they come out and search for anything that might tell them where I was, and if they get a track, they will never stop until they take me back again, as well as my robot wife in there. I think it is time for you to call a cab and let them take you away from here, Karl.”
So I called and got a time of one hour, where Willy said that it is close, but it should still be light. You see, they do not roam during the day because they can be seen, but they search at night. And my friend, if they ever do find me, they will not take us back. There are 30 pounds of plastic spread out all around this building, so it will all go up, and they will have nothing if it must end that way. I am glad you listened and now know what I do and why I knew your secrets and how to help when I did. And then he said, “Let’s play some cards before you go so you can see the miracles of another planet.” He went back and opened the door, and his copy, fully dressed now, walked out saying, “Karl, so glad you stayed. I do love a good game of Kings in the Corner, and it is better with more than two.” So I played and laughed with my friend and his wife, and even forgot at times and asked questions she did answer as if she were real. Then I heard the horn just as night was coming, and I hugged my friend goodbye. I also shook his wife’s hand, and I left with memories and a recording of descriptions of proof I saw and nothing else that night.
As I sit here, I have a tear fall on the keys because that was not quite the end of that night. As I was leaving, I saw a fast-moving thing go over me, and I thought, it is not night yet, but I guess it was enough night for whoever was looking, because not more than five minutes later, the night was day for a second, and I knew all that was Willy was gone, and so was his incredible wife of some future world. I am done with Willy now. And it is a sore that will never heal, but I did take a memory of a promise I made to him, and I kept that. Jules and I have an incredible life free of any secrets of any kind. And I must say those first words I told her in the car when I promised there was not going to be any space for secrets between us were my way of sharing a little bit of Willy with what would be my bride forevermore. Bye, my wonderful friend!

Forward, while I leave her behind
I got my taxi to drop me off in front of Jenny's house and as I walked inside I did think I heard something in the sky, but I closed the door on that thought and said, I am home, and a man walked around the corner and said, “I would be glad of that,” and then he said, “I am Jenny’s boyfriend.” So I shoved out my hand and said, “Bernie, I am glad to meet you finally. She has great things to say,” and I heard Jenny from a distance say, “Don’t you two lie in front of me now, that does not seem fair without a girlfriend to counter.”
With that I said, “I do not want to intrude on your time together, let me get a town bus and leave you be for the evening alone,” and Jenny said, “Don’t you dare leave Karl, ever since I told him you were here he could not wait to get some of your stories in real time from you, you see he will never say it but he is a fan ever since I brought home that monster munching thing story more than a year ago.”
So then we had a grand evening with no hope of an early night down for a nap. As Jenny and Bernie left the living area, I also went to my room on the other end of the house and cleaned up, ready for a fine night with a cool breeze. Until I heard that same sound again. And again. So I looked out the window and saw nothing at all, except that sound that did not seem like nature but something fake in the sky. I just closed the window and was done for the night.
The next morning, I awoke to a siren that stopped right in front of the house across the street, so I had to get ready and rush there because that was what I did, report. From what I gathered, a man came to their door asking for a visitor, and when they did not answer, he took the husband and vanished with him. With that, I left the site and started to pack. I then told Jenny and Bernie a brief account of my last night's events and how Willy blew himself up to avoid going back. I threw about $800.00 on the bed and said, “Take anything and go away for a week, someplace, anyplace, just not here, I do not want you to be taken on account of me like the guy across the street.”
As I was leaving the room, I could see them getting ready to go, and I thought Good Girl. I then packed my bags and called for two cabs to come to the home, and we both took one, going in different directions that we did not know, just in case. I went to the airport after stopping by the car place and arranging for her to be shipped to Chicago. After I took some things out of her and shoved them in my bag, I was off and on the way to my new home. I got a place and started work for the first time at a Chicago paper, and I am still there when I wrote this down to be added somewhere in the volumes of what is an incredible life of surprises.
I called Jenny about a month later just to be sure everything was okay. And I was informed that six people were missing around them, but they were all good, so she thanked me for thinking fast. Then she told me that during that week's trip, Bernie had proposed to her, and they would be married at the courthouse by the week's end. And knowing Jenny was safe.
I know this will be the first of many, I am sure, that will be written. I have even got some of them already for future volumes. I will tell you, if you are reading this, that I do not know when these very special tales of mine will be released to the public because there are many secrets in them, and I might just wait for the final story about why I left LA to be included. However, you all know from the beginning that if the last LA story is here, I will more than likely be dead then, and I will be finished with a life that most could only dream of. So I am happy I had the time I did with my own Angel Julie, who made my older years a special time every day she looked at me and smiled. I do hope all of you find your soulmates, as it will make your years seem like clouds as you step from day to day, always floating with happiness.
ONE MORE STORY LEFT IN THIS SERIES.. I hope everyone enjoyed the early days of Karl's Life. There will be more stories, however, to continue this storyline. You will need to purchase the "Layers of Truth" Or sign up here for support. I cannot make the book I have already copyrighted and published public domain. SORRY..
