All thou I knew the sun was rising, I kept my eyes squeezed shut as tight as possible. I didn't want it to be another day. I wasn't prepared to suffer another day. I ached in places I never imagined were possible, and all thou I didn't know how things could get worse, I just knew they would. The braided sheets used to tie me down had already burnt a path into my tender flesh, and I tried in vain to block the pain, but it was impossible and I couldn't help but relive the things I had endured in the past week. The car pit I was lying in was icy cold, and every joint in my body ached, either from the concrete I was laying on or the injuries I'd suffered from up to this point. I couldn't see much from where I was as a bus was parked over the pit's opening. It was an old yellow school bus. It would be moved when it was time for me to come up and join the family. I lay there, letting reality sink in as I had every day this week. But at the same time, wishing it were a dream that I was going to wake up from. After taking a few deep breaths, I sat myself up and waited for my food. I urgently needed to use the bathroom and was promised a shower today. The clothing I had been left in was damp and clung uncomfortably to my body. All the clothes I had on when I was kidnapped had been removed and replaced with thin wispy pieces of nightwear that barely kept me warm. I was dirty, hungry and cold. Kaine was inside the barn waiting for us to enter. He was naked as always; I had never once seen him with a shred of clothing on. Sitting down on the hay bale, I try not to complain as it sticks into my skin through the barely-there clothing. Kaine walks towards me with a knife and cuts away the bindings on my wrists. Their words, not mine. After half of the bottle, it was taken back and replaced by cold porridge. It was thick and sweet but still eatable. I ate it as slowly as possible not looking forward to whatever was coming next. Kaine grew impatient, smacking the bowl out of my hand, causing the rest of food to fly across the barn floor. Kourtney laughed aloud, but he silenced her with a look. Kaine moved towards his accomplice, bent close to her ear, and whispered something I couldn't hear then slapped her ass. A grin spread across Kourtney's face. A chill ran down my spine. Again, I prayed for this to end. She walked to the other side of the barn to grab something and returned quickly. At first, I couldn't make out what was in her hand, but as she came closer, I realized it was a large dog collar and lead. My heart sank as my eyes dampened; I tried to squeeze them shut.

What are they going to do, choke me with this? I tried not to back away as Kourtney approached me, but it wasn't easy to fight my instincts. First, I Stopped dead in my tracks forcing Kourtney to drag me the last two meters, and then I yelled out in protest. An electric current exploded around my throat and shot down my neck, causing extreme pain and the loss of my voice. I dropped to the ground and clutched at the collar, trying to relieve some of the pressure that was crushing my windpipe, but it was no use. Not that it could wash away the shame or disgust, but it could remove the smell that lingered from them both using my body to satisfy themselves.

*Waking for the third time that night, I move my back against the wall in the car pit and sit up as much as I can. I pull the small blanket I was given up under my chin as I try to stop my teeth from chattering. The water has started to pool at the bottom of the pit and was slowly moving towards the side of the ground I was sitting on. I wasn't worried about it getting high as it wasn't raining that much outside. There was more chance that I'd freeze to death. It had only been raining for the last ten minutes, but it had still managed to cover the entire base of the pit. At the deeper end it was ten centimeters or so. Giving up the idea of sleep, I move towards the deeper end of the water. The cold runs from the bottom of my bare feet and sits in every bone in my body. I kick aimlessly at the water. Then I dropped in to the icy bath laying on my back, the water sits at the outer corners of my eyes. I just laid there and stared up at the bottom of the bus, not a single thought touching my mind. The rain starts to pound the tin harder on the shed outside making me jump. I close my eyes which are filling with dirty water. I opened my mouth and let the water flow in till I started to choke on it. I didn't want to sit up, I want it all to end, but apparently my body had other ideas. I moved back to the other end of the pit where it wasn't quite as full. This was only the second time it had rained since I'd been down here. But this time I was nervous. There was a waterfall of icy liquid flooding down into my makeshift home. My teeth began to rattle and I could feel myself lose any warmth that my body possessed. I felt the urge to cry again but I just couldn't. The water had filled half of the pit and it didn't sound like the rain was going anywhere. I started to scream but the sky had the same idea and the thunder and wind drowned out any sound. I started to panic as the water neared my jaw, it was hard to fight the urge to tread water but I needed to save the little energy I had for when the water got higher. I bobbed in the freezing liquid as my head bumped into the bottom of the bus, the rain had stopped not long ago but the water was still as high as it could get and wasn't sub-siding. I was losing consciousness as I heard voices and seen lights. But when I opened my eyes, they are gone. My legs felt like two logs that were quickly increasing in size, they were going to pull me under, but I was ready. I heard the voice again but this time it was louder. I slipped beneath the water not wanting to hear or be near either of those animals. I ran out of air and tried to push myself back towards the surface but I didn't have the strength. It had been about ten days since the rain had started and I had to admit I was starting to miss the solitude and safety of the car pit. I shake that thought from my head. Being in the house with those two wasn't something that I was enjoying, I had tried getting close to both when they would approach me individually but I would just get punished for trying to turn them against each other and they informed me that would never happen. A door slammed somewhere above me and a shiver ran down my bruised and battered spine. I was thankful there were no mirrors here because I know there is no way I'd recognise the person staring back at me. I waited as the footsteps got louder. I tried to distract myself by concentrating on the sounds around me but it was no use the cold heightened ever bit of pain that they had inflicted on me. The back of my left eye had its own heartbeat and had swelled the size of a golf ball. I was no longer able to see out of that eye, maybe it was a blessing. I got up off the hard concrete and started to slowly limp back and forth in the dark. I could feel blood sliding its way down my thigh I wasn't sure if it were my period or if something had torn. I guess it didn't really matter anymore. As I walked up and down my dark fortress, visions started to enter my mind, crazy thoughts came to life. I was going to do something extreme or die trying to. I wasn't laughing now, my mouth started to fill with the warm thick liquid and I was trying to fight the urge to swallow but I couldn't help it any longer and I shuttered as it slid down my throat, half gagging on it. I felt instantly ill. I tried to shake my head free, that couldn't happen again. It was no use I was too weak. The door flung open with force. I looked towards it without thinking. Kaine was mad. Madder than I'd seen him before. I felt Kourtney remove her hands from my mouth and I instinctively turn to look at her she had a almost scared look on her face. She started backing up and mumbling, trying to explain to Kaine what had happened. He stopped her with a single finger to his mouth. The room was dead silent. I only just realized the music was off. The music had never been off while I've been in the house. Kaine paced back and forth just inside the room entrance not looking in our direction. Neither me nor Kourtney moved, just waiting, both not knowing what to expect. After another two minutes Kaine called Kourtney towards him and whispered something to her, I tried to pretend I wasn't looking but whatever he said upset Kourtney. She opened her mouth to argue but he slapped her ass hard and said, now and she left without a word. Kaine went to leave the room but then stopped. He didn't turn around but spoke to me. 'I don't know if I can touch you right now. You look disgusting.' Then he was gone. I sat confused waiting in the cold, naked. I remembered that a box was brought in I looked around till I spotted it and tried to reach it, maybe there was some form of clothing in there. But it was no use I couldn't reach. Kourtney re-entered the room holding a towel, she didn't look at me just unlocked the cuffs and grabbed my wrist for me to follow her. She led me straight to the bathroom. And pointed towards the bathtub that was filled with water. I could see the steam rising from it. I almost cried at such a beautiful sight and couldn't wait to emersed myself into it. 'Hello,' Kourtney was getting impatient. 'Get you dirty ass in already.' I walked quickly towards it and lifted my foot to get in and the heat burnt my frozen toes. I pulled them back just as quick as she let out a snicker. 'It's the hot bath or an icy cold shower princess?' Kourtney was enjoying this. I took a deep breath and lowered myself into the molten liquid, only exhaling as the heat penetrated my body. I had to force myself to continue to stay seated. Kourtney tossed me a bar of soap and watched my every move as I scrubbed off the blood, filth and urine in which I was covered. After I washed myself, I was ordered out of the bath were Kourtney approached me with the towel and started to dry me off like she always did, but this time Kaine wasn't here watching her do it. Maybe that's why she had a smirk on her face. We walked back towards the room where there was an old, faded track suit, I was so confused. 'Put it on' She said, 'He doesn't want to see your body anymore.' I dressed quickly thankful for the clothing but terrified about what this meant for me now. Once dressed I was walked back down towards the back door. I stopped just before we exited the house, causing her to bump into me. I turned and she just glared at me with discussed. 'What about water or food?' I dared to ask. I was super hungry and it was worth the risk if I got food. Kourtney scanned the kitchen quickly her vision stopping on the bin in the corner. 'Let me just see what we got.' She replied. She moved a few things to the side as a grin spread across her face. 'You're in luck.' Kourtney said while she continued pulling a half-eaten salad and chicken roll out of the bin. And passed it to me. I sat in the car pit fully dressed holding my food. I looked down at the roll and studied it. There was hair on it and a cigarette butt, it was soggy from the tomato and beetroot almost breaking through the bottom. I turned it from one side to the other, examining which part I could eat. First, I removed anything that wasn't supposed to be there, including a small amount of mold on the side. Then I closed my eyes, opened my mouth and slowly moved the roll towards it. I had to hold my breath as the smell of the rancid mayonnaise met my nostrils, then I sank my teeth into it and chewed as little as possible before I swallowed. I repeated this process until I had consumed the entire roll. I open my eyes and my tummy groaned in protest. I hadn't eaten that much food since I'd been here. I couldn't even remember what day it was. After what felt like hours, but was probably only a few seconds, I slowly walked towards the edge of the car pit and timidly looked towards the dark lump laid out on the concrete floor, there was a red puddle flowing from the back of his head and he stared eerily up into the night. Blood trickled from both corners of his mouth. Kaine was no longer with us. I couldn't take my eyes off him. I turned around looking in each direction not sure which way to go. Do I run and look for a neighbor or do I go inside and call for help. I decide to head for the house, I'd never seen anyone else in there before. I recall a phone in the kitchen on the wall. I can hardly believe this is happening. I open the door with caution even thou I'm not sure why it felt so strange to be in there house alone. Just as I'm about to reach the phone it begins to ring. The sound echoes in my head. And he shoved me towards the ladder and I mindlessly obeyed. Once inside I went to the room that was assigned for the crimes committed against me. The door was shut after I entered the room. I was left alone for twenty minutes, then Kourtney entered with a box and slid it over towards where I was cuffed up with one hand and left again. I opened the box she gave me out of curiosity, it was bigger than the ones I had gotten previously and was surprised and confused by its contents. Inside was a long silky navy-blue dress, which could only be described as a prom dress. Also in the box was an assortment of tiny alcohol bottles. I took one out and studied it before unscrewing the cap and downing the burning amber liquid. It went straight to my head, my cheeks felt hot and my stomach protested it's presents. I didn't know how the expected me to get changed out of my tracksuit and into the dress while I was cuffed so I just sat there and sipped on the drinks. By the time Kourtney came in to unlock me I was feeling pretty messed up from the booze. She demanded that I get changed. 'You sure you don't want to do it for me?' I mocked. 'I need more scotch.' A few seconds later the door swung open with a bang. Kourtney had her usual narky smirk on her face but this time she was in a ball dress and Kaine was wearing a suit. I couldn't help myself I burst out laughing, both of them stopped in their tracks and stared at me. 'Something funny?' Kaine asked I nodded my head and continued laughing. He walked over and slapped me across the face to knock me out of it. I fell back losing my balance, this is when I noticed that neither Kaine nor Kourtney were wearing shoes either. I burst out in to fits of laughter again. This time I was hit hard and everything went black. When I came to the room was dark but there was a disco ball spinning light beams around the room and slow dance music was playing. There was a small table to the side with a large punch bowl beside it and three cups. 'You have got to be fucking kidding me. 'I thought. They must have had a few drinks themselves while waiting for me to wake up. I stood up slowly rubbing the side of my head, it throbbed. I was sure if it was from the drinks or the knock I took to it. I felt woozy still and walked towards the table, I needed a drink for this shit. 'Well look who decided to finally join us.' Kourtney slurred slightly as she mocked me. I turned to face her. I took a long sip of my punch before replying. 'Can't let you guys have all the fun, now can I.' it was Kaine's turn to laugh. "Isn't she a gem, Kourt?' Kourtney just shrugged her shoulders but looked annoyed at Kaine for his comment, before finishing her drink and going to refill it. Things were getting interesting and this punch was really good. Kaine demanded we both dance together and he took a seat to watch us. Every now and then he would give us instructions on how to move or grind on each other. Kourtney seemed different tonight she wasn't enjoying trying to humiliate me. Was it because I was drunk and didn't let her or was it because she was drunk and Kaine was paying me more attention. Once dressed I searched for shoes to put on but couldn't find any, shit Kourtney must be wearing them. Do I dare get them from her. I start to leave the room but something catches my eye. I stop and back track to where a bunch of frames are sitting, I study them carefully it's a family portrait. There is a dad and two kids, they look to be three and five both sitting on their dad's lap at three smiling at the camera. The little girl in the picture is Kourtney with her family but when I look closely at her brother, I'm sure it's Kaine. I start to study each photo carefully and the more I look the surer I'm that Kaine and Kourtney are siblings. That's when I realize that she was yelling I killed my brother, not I killed my lover. I can't control myself I march straight back to the room of horror stopping just before Kourtney who is blankly staring into space. I kick her left foot. She looks at me then looks away. 'Yes' she replies simple and looks back in his direction. I roughly pull her shoes off her feet and walk to the door turning to tell her, 'You're sick.'
