It's around 6:34 PM. On a pleasant evening, Siddhu and his friends started the ride towards a popular restaurant for a tea break.
Ahmed blew out smoke from the wrinkled toxic stick in his mouth. Vicky and Kranthi went for biscuits, while Vinay, Siddhu, and Reyansh carried the tea.
Siddhu started a conversation: "Hey guys, do we have any plans further? It's a weekend for us - let's do something."
"It's enough for today, we're done. Let's drive back to our hostels," Kranthi responded.
Leaving Reyansh behind, the rest followed what Kranthi said. But later, Ahmed felt it wasn't a good idea to go back the way they came.
"Look at the weather - it's astonishing, with the wind blowing around. The sky looks completely naked. The stars might be listening to us. We have our vehicles, and they're full of petrol. Let's go for a long drive."
Hearing this, Siddhu replied, "Perfect plan," and the rest of them agreed with Ahmed.
Now, the fun began - it was time to activate Berserk Mode. They all started driving to the 75 km Mountain Forest Hills. On the journey, the lonely road felt welcoming. Singing songs, dancing on cycles, and cracking jokes at each other - the road neither rose nor sank. It just continued until it ended.
After some distance, they reached the hill path. It was around 2:45 AM, and the sky remained naked. They didn't care about the terrain. Whatever came up, they kept moving.
Deep in the greenwoods, across the forest's haze, there was an isolated cottage with a facade of different grey hues, said to be the peak point of the hill. As they moved on, they left the vehicles a little further back and walked toward the cottage.
As they entered, Ahmed and Vicky started dancing with each other. Reyansh continued to daydream, and Kranthi remained silent. Both Siddhu and Vinay stayed connected, capturing memories. The sound of the wind moving through the greenwoods felt like an acoustic playback.
Later, after a while...
Ahmed heard the sound of a wild boar. It sounded a little weird, as if it knew they were there. "Never mind, we're on top of a mountain forest. They might be in deep sleep or busy with a family reunion," said Reyansh vehemently. "That's great, but I know they're powerful and very dangerous when hunting. So we must be careful," added Vicky.
Meanwhile, the wild grumble grew a little louder. Suddenly, Kranthi felt annoyed - something to his left made a grunting sound and then ran into the jungle.
In a panic situation...
"Guys, don't panic. We need to plan how to escape from this place - but first, we need to calm down," Reyansh argued.
"Forget the wild boar, are there any other harmful animals in this forest?" "Maybe," said Vinay.
"For that, I have an idea - what if we build a fire? If they attack accidentally or try to bite us, we'll need a weapon - like a fire stick," Siddhu suggested. Reyansh found sense in Siddhu's words.
In the blow of fire...
"There it is!" Ahmed yelled, seeing the boar charging toward them. "What the fuck! Let's hide somewhere!"
In the chaos, the six of them split into two groups and ran in opposite directions.
"We'll wait here and stay silent. It's all over once we catch it. Newscasters will have a special edition on TV. The whole fucking national media will follow," Kranthi murmured.
Meanwhile, the boar came closer, scanning each side. Ignoring the rest, it eventually went its own way.
A little later, around 5:45 AM, the sky started welcoming the rays of the sun. The forest authorities visited for their daily routine. The boys regained their hope of life.
And they returned.
