Sunsets on the horizon, as the dark creeps up the front door. Taking in the last of the light that comforts my mind.
As the world gets ready to say goodnight, I walk back inside to hear my mother calling my name. Time for dinner I do believe. Sitting at the table eating my meal, watching the clock as it ticks away. Finished with dinner I put my dish in the sink, "wash that please". Turning around, I wash the plate and allow it to dry. Mother is a very strict and organized woman.
Time for bed. Teeth brushed and clothes set out for tomorrow, I climb into bed. "Goodnight sweetie and sleep tight". I love you mom and I miss you too. She's been gone for a few years now. The light in the room hides many things. As soon as the light is off, there she is watching me.
