All things bright and beautiful,All creatures great and small, All things wise and wonderful:The Lord God made them all. INTRODUCTION It’s, never easy writing about a subject that is close to your heart. Where do I begin my journey with Animals… maybe my connection with animals began in my mother ‘womb as we were a family which always had a pet be it a dog or cat. As a child my playmates were dogs, cats, puppies and kittens instead of dolls and toys. I grew up in an environment where these pets were a part of my life and in time they became a part of my life too and will always be close to my heart and soul. My journey in animal welfare had its ups and downs, lows and high, tears and joys but in the end I can say it was worth all the time and hard work. My interaction with people, animal lovers, rescuers were beneficial in my understanding animals and were important lessons in compassion, caring, giving and loving. I am grateful and thankful to so many people that listing them here is a task….but foremost I thank my parents especially my Mom, who was my cheerleader and supported me in my journey and will always be the light shining from above….
