Way above the sea level, on a beautiful landscape filled with flowers and trees, is a resort named Mountain Gaps. It is well known for couples to hang around there during the weekends. Shreya and her friends from college are on their way, driving a BMW. An Audi and an Abarth Punto was behind them, chasing. These 10 friends are the closest in the whole of the medical college and wished to spend their weekend on the top of the "Queen of mountains", Kodaikanal. Late that evening as all the others were having fun around the camp fire, the resort person were arranging, Shreya alone was inside her room, changing clothes after the shower. She turned the lights off with only a warm light above the bed, sufficient enough to see things around
There was a large balcony Infront of her room and a tree almost leaned on its handrail, trying to peep into the room. As, she heard a noise near the tree, she tried to move the curtains of the window. Only her face was seen from outside the window while the rest of her was behind the curtain she was holding. An arm hugged her from behind and now her frightened face and an arm around the screen was seen from outside.
Oh my God! Steve, you took my breath away, she screamed. Though her words seamed unhappy about his presence, her face was blushing with joy. She was concerned about her friends outside, but she still liked his presence near her. They love each other so much that the rest of the world outside that widow, their eyes didn't see.
Steve locked the door behind him, as he was holding her by hand and kissed her on her cheeks. She leaned on the wall and he pushed his body onto her, against the wall. He held her hand above her head and kissed her on her lips. She wasn't very comfortable to move forwarded and asked him to stop. Though her lips uttered the word, stop her heart and mind were already into him that she couldn't resist or stop him.
With more strength she pushed him a little and silence filled the room for a moment. A feet away from each other, still could feel the warm breath of the other in that cold room, their eyes, connected and the heart wanting more but her mind playing with her, She hugged him tight.
The warm light above the head turns off and darkness fills the room.
8 YEARS LATER
Arjun comes home after school and start watching cartoons while his mom, keeps reminding about completing his home work first. He hardly cares and sits Infront of the television. He then, hears the metal swing which is in the garden of his home. He knew its his sister who has come, so he Immediately runs outside, closes the door and wears his sandals to go to the garden.
As he was about to leave, his dad comes, so he hugs him and starts to play with him. As usual his mom starts complaining about him and his studies for which both looks at each other and smiles. She gets irritated that only girls at home are working and these 2 boys are good for nothing, saying these she goes back in, while the two guys, takes the bike and went for a ride.
Though Arjun is 6 years old, he loves to ride bikes, so he sits in the front, holding the bar while his dad, controls the rest. This happens once in every month or at times, once in every 2 months, so Arjun do not want to end this faster and so they went on a very long ride. Hours would pass each time they go for a drive but today it went a little longer. Late in the night after finishing their dinner, both peeks in silently. They do not want to disturb her as she is a light sleeper who wakes up even for a slightest of sound.
Arjun took his dad to his room and asks him to tell a story for him. He climbed on his cupboard and took a story book and handed it to his dad. climbing down, he hit a toy which fell on the floor, heavily. Looking at each other in silence, they heard a scream and Steve rushed to Shreya's bedroom taking the stairs to the top floor and Arjun follows him behind trying to be as fast as his dad. Arjun with his short steps managed to reach the entrance door, he held the door by the handle and saw his dad consoling his mom. Outside the room, was her sister with tears rolling down her eyes. Looking at dad taking care for his mom, he went to his sister.
Arjun : Why are you crying ? what is wrong and why is mom crying.
Sister : I told you she wont be happy seeing me.
Arjun : Why is that?
Sister: I do not know, but..
Arjun : Why is she scared of you ? Are you a ghost ?
Sister : I don't know but I was told by my kind, 'Ghosts are those who die but we weren't given the opportunity to be born'.
