30 years passed since Leonora’s first encounter with Thraxis, and though she spread the dragon's wisdom far and wide, the changes were slow to spread. Humans, so wrapped up in their lives of convenience and technology, have lost their connection to the Earth’s energy. Some feel the path toward magic, ancient wisdom, and what came before, but too many laughed at the idea that they were beings of energy, capable of shaping the world through their thoughts and actions.
The saving of humanity depends on people remembering their truest divinity. Elaria, a close family member of Leonora’s, felt pulled to know more about her mission to spread the inner Earth knowledge of Dragons, magic, and most of all Source. Like her eldest cousin, she had always been drawn to the mysteries of the Earth. She could feel the rising tension, the subtle tremors beneath her feet that whispered of something amiss. The Earth was calling out again, and Elaria knew she needed help that only one ancient being could provide.
Following Leonora’s strict instruction, along with old maps and legends, Elaria found the entrance to the Inner Earth. The journey was treacherous, the path winding deeper and deeper into the molten heart of the planet. But Elaria pressed on, her mind filled with a single purpose: she needed Thraxis.
At last, she could see the great cavern where Thraxis dwelled. The dragon’s immense form, still as a mountain, lay in the shadows. His eyes opened as Leonora approached, their amber glow flickering with recognition.
"You carry Leonora's blood," Thraxis rumbled, his voice resonating through the cavern. "Why do you seek me now, in these troubled times?"
Elaria knelt, her heart racing with the weight of her task. "The Earth is in greater danger than ever before. The humans have forgotten their connection to it, to themselves. They no longer understand that they are beings of energy, that they can save both themselves and the Earth if they only awaken to their power."
Thraxis studied her for a long moment, his eyes gleaming with ancient wisdom. "The humans have always had the power within them, but they have chosen to ignore it. Why do you believe they will listen now?"
"Because we have no choice," Elaria replied, her voice steady despite the enormity of her request. "If we do not change, the Earth will perish, and so will we. But people don’t understand—they think they’re powerless, disconnected. They need to remember the truth. And you, Thraxis, can help me show them."
The dragon’s tail curled slightly, as though considering her words. "What you ask is no small task. Humans are stubborn creatures, slow to believe what they cannot see with their own eyes. How will you convince them that they are beings of energy when they cannot even see the energy that flows through the Earth?"
Elaria stood tall, her resolve unwavering. "They may not see it, but they can feel it. The world is waking up—people are starting to sense that something is wrong. But they don’t know what to do. They need a catalyst, something to spark the awakening. I believe you can be that catalyst."
Thraxis was silent for a long time, the cavern filled only with the faint hum of the Earth’s core. Then, with a low rumble, he spoke again. "Very well. I will help you. But understand this: the change must come from within the humans themselves. I can guide them, show them the truth, but it is they who must choose to embrace it."
Elaria nodded. "I understand. What must I do?"
Thraxis rose to his full height, his wings stretching out as if to touch the walls of the vast cavern. His eyes glowed brighter, and the air around him shimmered with energy. "You will carry my message to the surface, and with it, I will send a wave of energy—an awakening force. It will stir the minds of those who are ready to listen, those who are on the verge of remembering their true nature."
He lowered his head toward Elaria, his voice a deep vibration in the air. "But you must be prepared. Many will resist. The idea that they are powerful beings of energy, capable of shaping their own reality, will terrify them. Fear is a great obstacle to awakening. But you must persist, for the Earth’s future depends on it."
Elaria felt the weight of his words settle upon her shoulders, but alongside the burden came a surge of strength. She knew this was the moment she had been born to do.
"How will I carry your message?" she asked, feeling the energy in the air hum with anticipation.
Thraxis closed his eyes, and the ground beneath Leonora’s feet began to glow faintly. The dragon's voice echoed in her mind, deep and resonant. "You will become a beacon, a conduit for the Earth’s energy. Wherever you go, those who are ready will feel it. They will awaken to their own power, and together, you will begin to heal what has been broken."
As the glow intensified, Leonora felt a rush of warmth flood her body, filling her with the energy of the Earth itself. It pulsed through her veins, connecting her not only to the ground beneath her feet but to the stars above, to the humans waiting to awaken on the surface.
"You carry the spark of the Earth now," Thraxis said softly, his eyes meeting hers. "Go, Elaria. Remind them who they are."
With a final bow, Elaria turned and began her ascent back to the surface, the energy coursing through her with every step. As she emerged into the light, the world around her seemed more alive than ever before—the trees whispered, the wind carried the voices of the Earth, and she knew the time for change had come.
Armed with Thraxis’s wisdom and the power of the Earth itself, Elaria set out on her mission to awaken humanity, knowing that the future of both worlds rested in her hands.
