Chris , Chris!!!!!!,he heard someone screaming his name out loud in fear but he couldn't respond as he kept drowning into the bottomless ocean,he tried answering to the call of the stranger,he tried waving his hands up for help,he tried everything within his possible best but they all proved abortive as he finally drown.
Chris flinch and woke up into reality covered in his own sweats,even though the air conditioner is working perfectly he still feel hot from within,he let out a deep sigh and walk into the bath room,he undressed revealing his muscular physique,he put on the shower as the water begin to drool all over him,he felt his nerves calm a bit,it was this same reoccurring dream ever since his parent died in an accident when he was 18 ,since that awful day the dream Kept on reoccurring ,coming to him like the oxygen he needed to survive Daily,the dream Kept on serving as a reminder of that worse night of his life when he lost the two people he valued most.
He put on his silk blue shirt and black pant,he has always being punctual that people do ask if he his a robot because he always arrive exact time everyday at work.

Mary is Chris girlfriend and they also work in the same company,they started dating in college, every one was always jealous of their relationship,because Chris is the type of guy every lady will die to have in their arms ,but he only has eyes for Mary.
Chris got into his office, immediately he sat down his phone rang ,he felt annoyed at whoever is calling at the moment but he has no option than to pick up the call,"yes,who is this?",Chris said in a stoic tone ,the person on the other end responded,few minutes later,Chris stormed out of his office in a Rush and headed to the police station.
Chris got to the station hurriedly and he went to the Detective office,"Good morning,I am here now can you show me",Chris mumbled feeling his heart beat erupt,the officer told him earlier that they were able to retrieve the video of the area of the accident,finally he can find the lead to the cause of their accident. The Detective order one of the officers to hand over a disc to Chris,he received the disc and thanked the Detective,"we already see the video,we just want you to watch it personally and give us your opinion sir",the Detective said calmly,he shook hands with Chris and they departed.
Chris returned to his house after calling his boss that he wants a day leave,he couldn't possibly have the enigmatic to meet people if he watches that scene,so he will just stay ahome.
He got home and played the video,he saw a parked car which he recognises as his parent,he could tell it was empty,then he saw a girl coming down from a pink bicycle and entering the car,he zoomed it and saw Mary, he wondered what she went to do inside the car,few minutes later Mary came out of the car and drive off in her bicycle,Chris parents came out from the mall and entered the car,then they drove off,not far from where they began to drive the car was starting to get out of control,then the video ended.
Chris was surprised at the new discovery,Why would his girlfriend be at the scene and what did she went to do inside the car,he got so curious and called the Detective,"we find out that the accident was caused by a brake failure ,so the prime suspect is the girl on pink ,by any chance do you know her??",The Detective asked,Chris felt his tongue tied,if he answered truthfully His girlfriend would become a suspect,he decided to call the Detective later.
Chris called Mary to come visit him after she ends her work for the day,Chris felt so uncomfortable imagining the whole scenario,he went to take his bath again and dozed off."Chris,Chris",he heard that voice calling out to him again,but this time it is not far away rather it is close by,he kept on struggling not to drown ,the voice gives him hope,he felt something beneath his feet trying to lift him out of the ocean suddenly he woke up covered in sweat,he flinched when he saw a face so close to his lips,"oh my gosh,I am sorry I don't mean to scare you ,my love",Mary apologize smiling a bit,she feels he look so cute when he was asleep,Chris wiped off his sweat and sat upright,Mary sat by his side helping him patt his back,"I thought we were supposed to go on a date tonight!?",Mary asked with her sweet and gentle voice suiting the soul ,Chris noded and strode to the kitchen,he drank a bottle of chilled water and return to the room,then he played the film ,they both watch in silent,after the video ended,the room became quiet like a grave yard,when Chris noticed that Mary was not gonna talk then he spoke up",I am certain you were the one entering that car,what the heck did you do to it",Mary eyes were filled with tears and she spoke with a cracked voice filled with sadness,"Chris what did you mean,I saw your parents car,and I decide to check the interior out,what are you trying to accuse me of",Mary whispered tears slowly rolling down her pretty and innocent face,Chris felt his heart tightened ,he felt bad for suspecting his girlfriend,her tears were like knives ,piercing through his heart he felt confused and went to sit on the couch,his phone ping and he saw a text message ,it was Chris best friend,Alex,Chris does not want to open the text but when he wanted to switch off the phone he mistankenly opened the chat ,then something caught his attention.
"Dear Chris,I am sorry for all I did to you,I know I am not worthy of being called your best friend,I feel so guilty and I can't keep this to my self anymore,I and Mary were dating ,we tried out possible best to bring you out of the picture but could not find anything valid until we planned to eliminate you with your parents,we did not know you won't be with them in the car that faithful day,so Mary messed with the cars brake,I know you will feel bad hearing this,but I know I failed as a friend and you will never forgive me not even in the seventh lifetime,by the time you will be reading this,I would have gone cold ,see you in the other end.
