That's exactly the decision Liliana had to make. But let's go back to the beginning, to where it all started.
Liliana is 34 years old. She works at a mall as a cleaning lady. Her passion, however, is to become a teacher - but life had other plans for her.
At just 3 years old, Liliana already saw how cruel people could be. Her father had multiple affairs, and her mother couldn't take it anymore. She divorced him. Liliana was only 7 when her mother packed the bags and took her brother with her. Liliana was left behind with her father.
It was horrible.
Liliana had to cook, clean, and do the laundry. Every night, she wished her mother would come back for her. She begged silently to be taken away too.
One day after school, her father was furious. Liliana hadn't made any food. He told her to make some soup. He handed her a powder mix - she just had to add water. But she added too much. Her father was so angry, he threw the pan at her. Liliana ended up with several burns. She couldn't understand why her father was so cruel.
Months later, her mother came back - with her brother. They tried to rebuild their lives. On the surface, they seemed happy. But they acted like nothing had ever happened, even after Liliana told her mother everything.
At 16, Liliana ran away from home and never looked back. Over the years, she spoke to her parents occasionally - but never about the past.
As Liliana walked and reflected on her memories, she shook her head and thought, Maybe another time. Then she went back to work.
After work, Liliana started running. She needed to catch the last train - otherwise, she'd have to walk home again. She didn't see the traffic light turn red. A car was speeding toward her.
The last thing Liliana saw was the moon - so bright, yet not full.
Liliana woke up screaming. It had felt so real.
She looked around, confused. Where am I? she thought.
She stood up. All around her were gold and flowers. It looked like she had stepped into a palace - or gone back in time.
Liliana began to wonder? Am I dead? Did I go to heaven?
"Miss... Miss?"
Liliana turned around and saw -
