This is the heartfelt narrative of "Feline Whispers: A Tale of Love and Understanding."
I remember back when I was in my first year of college; that's when I became a cat lover. Both my mom and sister were abroad, and my mom came back home for a while, but she was planning to go back abroad again. One day, a stray cat wandered into our house, and I was the only one at home. Even though my stepfather was there, I didn't talk to him much, and I spent most of my time alone in my room. During that time, a small orange cat appeared, and I felt sorry for it, so I decided to keep it. The cat stayed with me for about three days, and I hid it in my room because my stepfather didn't like cats, and I didn't want him to see it.
One day, when I came home from school, I couldn't find the cat, and I cried a lot. I don't know why, but I ended up calling my friend Norhaya and told her that the cat was no longer there, and I thought my stepfather might have thrown it away. I was crying while telling her this.
Later, when my mom returned from abroad, they went on a vacation for a few days in our province in Lanao. After the short vacation, they came back to our home in Cotabato, and I was thrilled to see that my mom had brought two cats with her. I named them Pikachu and Popoy, and both of them were male.
It's quite funny because bringing the cats wasn't easy for my mom. They even had an argument with my stepfather because he brought a rooster and didn't want to bring the cats. However, my mom insisted that if he wasn't bringing the cats, he shouldn't bring the rooster either. So, eventually, my stepfather had to bring the cats along with them.
As time passed, my mom left again, and I was left with the cats as my constant companions at home. For over three years, they were always there for me, providing comfort during difficult times when I felt upset and cried. I became very attached to them, and I didn't go out much because I didn't want to leave them alone. They were there for me, and I felt like they understood my feelings. During my college graduation, I cried a lot because my mom wasn't there for important occasions, but my cats were there with me, and I felt like they understood my pain.
As time went by, both of them passed away, and that's when my deep love and attachment to cats started. People might wonder why I'm so attached to cats, but it all began here. Maybe some people think I'm crazy because they say, 'It's just a cat, why are you crying over it?' They don't understand .I developed a strong fondness for animals, especially cats, because of the love and companionship they provided. This is my story
