  • Midnight Rose

Midnight Rose is a story about the survival of a young girl named Dusty Rose. After, leaving her abusive life behind, she learns that she has inherited a great deal of money and a horse ranch in Colorado left to her by her real father; whom she never met. Surprised, about this news... Dusty Rose hesitantly contacts her mother Laura, telling her of the inheritance and that she plans to relocate to Colorado to claim her ranch. Shortly, after reuniting with her, Dusty realizes that she should have left her mother in her past. Does Laura intend to plot her own daughter's murder for millions? Or will Dusty outsmart her, again? This short story was submitted to Short Story Lovers in 2012 under my former pen name of Aubree Grace.
