Hannah and her brother Alan cannot be any more different. She is a journalism student and the more logical one, always looking for a way to explain the things that happen even if there is no explanation. Alan on the other hand searches for answers to the weird, unexplainable events around the world such as hauntings, urban legends, etc. One night while checking her email inbox Hannah sees a message from a husband who is seeking answers to his wife’s obsession with the old lighthouse that sits on an abandoned island. Thinking that the story could be perfect to use for her final project, she agrees to meet with him and his wife. When she goes to meet with her professor to ask for a few days of being excused from class to conduct research and to investigate the story Dr. Mallard warns her about the dangers of the island and lighthouse. Hannah promises Dr. Mallard that she will be careful as she at this point is desperate for a cold case, but little does she realize that the case she is agreeing to investigate might be more than she can handle.
