People who hurt animals without a second thought should face the consequence. That is well deserved.

This is a vivid, grim little revenge tale, and the alley feels wonderfully tangible—the garlic, rubbish, spirit house, and Bangkok street life give it a strong atmosphere. Peepee’s connection with Mongkut is also immediately clear, especially in the contrast between the “chaotic, strobing light” of people and the cats’ “steady, gentle hum.” The violence is deliberately shocking, though it eventually becomes so graphic that it overwhelms the character and the story’s moral tension. I also wasn’t fully convinced by Peepee’s sudden transformation from a vulnerable, slow-processing girl into an effortlessly precise killer, or by the crowd’s enthusiastic applause; both moments feel more like dark-fantasy wish fulfillment than believable human behavior. The ending restores some ambiguity with the crowd’s unease and Peepee’s quiet detachment, but I wanted more sense of what this act costs her beyond the immediate revenge. Effective atmosphere and strong imagery, but the character psychology and social reaction needed more grounding.

Hey! I’ve been reading your story and really enjoyed it the emotions and flow felt very natural. While reading, I kept picturing how some scenes would look as comic panels. I’m a commission-based comic/webtoon artist, and if you’re ever curious about a visual adaptation, I’d love to chat. 📩 Discord & Instagram: lizziedoesitall
