You ask
Why do I love the mountains?
Why do I love the rough and rocky terrain?
Is it the adrenaline rush I am chasing?
Well quite the opposite I would say!
Nothing has ever given me more peace and tranquility than the expansive mountains.
These mountains make me realize how small and miniscular I am.
They are a reminder of how we have to bow down before Nature.
Be it the heavy rain,
Or the hostility of the rumbling rocks.
We can't control it all,
We can't have everything carved our way!
The sweet and secluded mountain side life is my ultimate calling.
I don't know if it's in this lifetime or not,
But my dream is to live far far away from the man made hostile city life.
I have heard many versions of "this is good only for a short while"
"there isn't basic amenities like health care "
"life is tough in the mountains "
Well I am not convinced and never will be!
A hot cup of tea, my dog by my side and someone who loves me and cares for me on the top of a mountain is my calling.
Part 2
You ask
Why do I love climbing mountains?
What is so attractive about trekking and hiking?
To that I say because I have to survive in the concrete jungle of a city life.
What mountains have taught me is what helps me survive in the city!
The biggest lesson I have learnt;
There will always be higher peaks to climb,
There will always be people you meet in your journey upwards ; some you remember some you forget.
The higher you go, the solitary it would get,
When you trip and fall there might be a helping hand but you will learn!
Pushing the limits takes you forward but it also has the potential to suffocate you to eventual death!
Isn't it the corporate rat race I just described?
