Once upon a time, there were two friends named Gary and George. They always dreamed of traveling to another kingdom. One day, they decided to begin their journey. Before setting off, they promised each other that they would always help one another, no matter what happened.
As they traveled through a forest, they suddenly came across a fierce tiger. Frightened, Gary quickly climbed a tree, leaving George behind. George, thinking fast, ran and hid behind another tree. After a while, the tiger lost interest and went away.
When the danger had passed, Gary and George met again. But George was hurt that Gary had left him behind, and they quarreled. Their friendship broke, and they went their separate ways.
Years later, George was passing through Gary’s village which was under attacked. Chaos spread everywhere, and Gary was in great danger. Just then, George returned with soldiers and fought bravely, driving the attackers away and saving the village.
After the battle, Gary asked, “George, why did you save me, even though I abandoned you to the tiger long ago?”
George replied, “A wise man once told me: Always help others, even if they can't help you back.”
Hearing this, Gary felt ashamed of his past actions. The two forgave each other and became best friends again, and from then on, they truly supported one another.
Moral: Help others even though they cannot help you back.
