The Secret Path
One fine morning, Tom Bart decided to go for a walk. While he was walking, he saw a bush. The wind was making the bush shake and rustle, so Tom decided to have a look at it. When he went closer, he suddenly slipped and fell — and Tom fell right into a different world, a world named “The Opposite World.”
The first thing Tom saw was the grass and the land, brown in colour. Then the sky, purple in colour. Then the plants, deep violet in colour. And then the creatures! The first creature he saw was a friendly purple cow. The rest of the creatures were strict. Tom decided to taste the plants. In the real world, the fruits of plants are healthy, but in the Opposite World the plants are unhealthy. There was also a polyglot mouse — a mouse who could speak every language. The mouse spoke the first word to Tom: “Hey! Who are you? Why are you eating our plants?” “I am only tasting,” replied Tom Bart. “I am from the real world. I came here by mistake. Sorry!” Chapter

Tom remembered the words “Hu hi banuba.” Keeping them in his mind, Tom continued to walk. While walking, Tom saw a house made of candy, cake and sweets. Tom started to think, “This could be a dangerous world…” But with fearlessness and un-scaredness, Tom went and knocked on the door. The door opened instantly. Slowly, Tom Bart went inside and started searching the whole house.

Buying time
Tom Bart had one ten, enough to buy one candy. He bought a strawberry-and-pineapple mixed flavour, but it did not taste good. Still, Tom ate it, and it helped him survive the whole night. The night time was very noisy. Tom wanted to sleep, but no one would let him sleep! So Tom Bart got an idea. He lay down and acted like he was dead. Everyone thought he really was dead, so they took him to the Great Melon Hospital. The doctor gave him some medicine and then told him to go home. The doctor said, “OK, we will give you a house.” They gave him a home in Melon City. But the house was not good for living, because inside there was a smell — a strong lemon-flavour candy smell! So Tom decided that the next thing he would do was learn the animal language.”

Learning Animal Language
Hehe = hello
Lami = water
Dog = dog
Fog = hot
Now Tom knew only two things in animal language: “Hu hi banuba,” which means “Please get off his shoulder,” and Holi Holi Holi,” which means “beautiful.” He had to learn more to communicate easily. So he got an idea. He took a small paper and a pen and went to the polyglot mouse to learn the animal language. The polyglot mouse first taught Tom the basic words, then sentences, then a few complicated sentences. There were only a few sentences, but there were so many words that Tom’s whole paper got filled up The words he taught were like: “Hehe” means hello. “Lami” means water. “Dog” means dog — the easiest word! And “Fog” means hot. Tom Bart spent the whole day and the whole night learning

Tom first spoke to the owl — the same owl that had sat on his shoulder. Tom did not remember it, and he said, “Sas!” which means “Hi!” But the owl remembered Tom Bart’s face, and angrily said, “Hi mati po sas zoo pu pu ladir sami!” which means: “How dare you! Now you say hi to me? That day you disrespected me and told me to get out!” what he had said! Then he went to the friendly cow and said, “Yo for tun tun sami,” which means, “You are super, super kind ,Tom did not feel sad. He was glad, because the owl understood what he has said .

“Come back, Tom!”
— Jim Carpaws
Tom Bart finished his work and came back to his home. After a rest, Tom did not have anything to do, so he took his phone and went out. At home, Tom always wore a fresh-air oxygen mask because of the lemon smell. He kept his oxygen mask on, went out with his phone, and called his best friend, Jim Carpaws. Tom was about to say something when Jim Carpaws said, “Where are you? Where are you? I have been searching for you the whole day! The whole village is crying to see you. Come back, come back!” Then, finally, Tom Bart remembered his world. He started to cry. While walking, Tom Bart met his friend from the Opposite World, the polyglot mouse. Tom told him, “I want to get out of This world , please help me.

Trying to Get Out of This World
“Lu lu lu!” he mouse said, “Trying to get out of this world is super hard. You need to do some tasks — the first, the second, the third, the fourth and the fifth. The first task is to go out of Melon City and search for the first house you found: the candy house.” So Tom packed his food — the unhealthy fruits and candies, strawberry flavours — and a bottle, and went out on the long journey. Tom saw many different animals and insects of different colours: glowing insects, a possibly dangerous insect, an insect that flew because of that insect it took more than two hours to find the candy house! Then he saw a parrot. Tom asked, “Lu lu lak?” which means “Do you know where a house is?” The parrot said, “Lu lu lu!” which means “It’s right here!” And T

So he tried again. This time he mixed the liquids with strawberry, and the mix came out very sweet, fruity and fresh! Then the mouse gave him three and a half tens to buy one more mixed candy. Now the recipe needed lemon — but Tom had sold his lemon candy! So the kind mouse gave him a lemon. Tom started to mix the mixed candy with the lemon. The smell came out not bad, not good — just fine. And for that, the mouse gave Tom the last 3%! Then the mouse said goodbye to Tom, and threw him to the realworld.

When Mary finally stopped, Tom Bart started to tell her the whole story — but he did not tell her that he ate those plants’ fruits.
