When Mira moved into the old countryside cottage, she was drawn to its charm—despite the realtor’s odd warning: “Don’t use the small room upstairs.”
Curiosity eventually won. On a stormy night, she opened the dusty door to the forbidden room. It was empty except for a broken mirror nailed to the wall. The moment she stepped inside, she heard a soft whisper.
It said her name.
Each night after that, the whispering grew louder—never angry, just persistent. One night, unable to sleep, she returned to the room. The whisper said:
“Look behind you.”
She did. The mirror was no longer broken. It showed her reflection—except the reflection was smiling. She wasn’t.
Then the lights went out.
Now, she lives in the mirror.
And the house waits for its next guest.
