Biologically dying isn't the only way to lose our lives; instead, it is the second way to. Loving somebody is the first. It is only when you're lying awake at night with your hands shaking and your body sweating that you realize it has gone too far. It is only when you know you'll still give it all for that person the next day and pretend nothing ever happened after physically feeling your heartbreak; That's when you know you're no longer fighting for what you swore was love, you're fighting your heart, your well-being, and your life. This is the point when you know you're no longer living for yourself but living for the person you miss even when you're having the time of your life. It is only when you sacrifice everything hoping to be enough for them, hoping that giving them all you have left will finally give them a reason to love you back, to care, to see you. This is the first way we die.
