When the flocks of birds flew up.
I felt free and at peace.
A knot within me, as if opened up.
I could not release myself of its warm embrace.
But then that day, standing by the sea waves,
Facing the sun, looking at the seagulls cawing loudly,
it felt like a moment I longed to live long, and it was like a fee.
A fee I was to pay to myself for being so drowsy, insensitive, and lousy.
The feet were wet from the water trapped in the fine sand of the sea.
The wind was loud and howling, giggling and beckoning,
"Come on, what are you waiting for?" It chimed.
I took a leap of faith and jumped ahead.
For I needed to live too, and that seemed like the first fresh door.
I felt free and at peace.
A knot within me, as if opened up.
I could not release myself of its warm embrace.
