I walk down this path I call home
My dreams of the past surround me like the winds of the east
I see the bodegas of the tropics and the languages of old lands
I finally know that I am truly old
I think of the days as a boy running through the streets
Playing games of conquer and laughter
Such care free days so have long gone
I always think of the days of the girl with the bright eyes
How her beautiful ways have memorized me during my adolescent life
As I move forward, I see the straight lanes that resemble decades long ago
The decaying buildings remind me of how I have missed such a world
As the sky dawns out, I feel a presence of hope and peace come towards me
What a life I had live during my days in this land
As I look closer down this street, I still remember the one that I loved
How her persona and charismatic charm brought me to her
Even though those days were gone, I still wonder where she is
I remember how I wanted to leave this place and move far away
Now that I have returned, I have grown accustomed to such a place
It’s funny how my memories become clearer in the road that I cross
