#### **Chapter 1: The Call of Fate**

---

*Scene 1: The Conquest*

**EXT. OPEN SEA - DAY**

The **TROJAN FLEET** moves through the relentless, frothy waves, an imposing sight - forty ships, each one a testament to the might of Troy. The banners snap in the wind, and the sounds of warriors sharpening their swords and preparing their armor fill the air. A storm is brewing, but not just in the skies - **Herbert**, son of **Emperor Gorias**, stands at the **prow** of the flagship, a frown etched on his face. The winds tug at his cloak, but his gaze is distant, uneasy.

**EMPEROR GORIAS**, his father, stands by his side, watching the fleet advance with a grim satisfaction. The emperor is the epitome of confidence, his gaze fixed forward, full of command. His deep voice rumbles like thunder.

**EMPEROR GORIAS**

(voice booming, with authority)

Today, Sparta will kneel before us. The gods are with us, Herbert. They've already seen the blood spilled.

Herbert barely acknowledges his father's words, his thoughts consumed by something else - something *other*. The weight of the coming conquest presses on him like a mountain, but it's not the war that troubles him.

**HERBERT**

(softly, more to himself than anyone)

What is it that we fight for, Father? Glory? Land? Or something darker?

**EMPEROR GORIAS**

(cutting him off, without turning)

The question you should ask, boy, is whether you are ready for war. These people will not stop unless we crush them. Your hesitation is the only weakness that matters now.

Herbert clenches his jaw, refusing to respond. Something deep within him stirs, a sense of unease that has been growing steadily since they set sail. He feels the weight of his father's expectations like a shackle around his soul.

**CREWMAN**

(voice urgent, calling from behind)

Prince Herbert, you need to see this!

Herbert turns sharply. **A crewmember** on the lookout points toward the horizon. In the distance, above the water, faint figures flicker like ghosts, suspended in mid-air. The sight is strange, unnatural - almost unreal. They glow faintly, rising and falling with the rhythm of the sea.

**HERBERT**

(cautious, his voice tight)

What are they?

**EMPEROR GORIAS**

(scoffing, dismissive)

Superstitions. Another omen from the fools who believe in signs.

But Herbert's eyes remain locked on the figures. The sense of unease deepens, and despite his father's words, he feels an undeniable pull toward them. His heart pounds.

**HERBERT**

(commanding, without hesitation)

Bring us closer.

**EMPEROR GORIAS**

(angered, stepping forward, voice rising)

You defy me? You'll put us all in danger for this?

But Herbert's gaze doesn't waver. The **helmsman** looks between father and son, torn.

**HELMSMAN**

(nervously)

Your Highness, I? I think it's best we obey the prince.

**EMPEROR GORIAS**

(furious, glaring at the helmsman)

*You* will listen to me! I am your emperor!

The **helmsman** flinches but reluctantly turns the ship, steering it toward the strange figures. The wind picks up, whipping at their faces, and the tension thickens in the air.

**HERBERT**

(under his breath, to himself)

Something is calling to me? I can't ignore it.

*Scene 2: The Encounter*

**EXT. SEA - LATER**

The ship draws closer. The **mysterious figures** above the water grow clearer - human-like but not human. Their forms are flickering, as though they exist in two planes at once, **ethereal and translucent**, glowing faintly like stars. There is a sense of **timelessness** about them, an unsettling beauty in their otherworldly appearance. At the center stands a tall, imposing figure - **Madhukara**, a sage of ancient power. His long, tangled beard and **piercing eyes** reflect a knowledge of ages long past.

Herbert feels the air change as the ship approaches, as if the sea itself is holding its breath. The sense of **destiny** presses down on him like a weight, suffocating and inevitable. His pulse quickens.

**MADHUKARA**

(eyes glowing with ancient fire, voice reverberating)

Herbert, son of Gorias. You have come.

Herbert stumbles back, startled, his breath catching in his throat. His eyes widen.

**HERBERT**

(stammering, in disbelief)

How? How do you know me?

**MADHUKARA**

(calm, measured)

I know you, because I have seen your soul across countless lives. **Aniket**, King of Gehu - your past is alive within you, haunting you.

Herbert recoils, confusion flooding his senses. **Aniket**? The name echoes through his mind like a distant memory from a time he has never known.

**HERBERT**

(voice shaking, desperate)

Aniket? That? that's not my name. I -

**MADHUKARA**

(interrupting, voice cold with certainty)

You are a prince of Troy, yes. But you are more than that. You were born into the **curse of your own making**. Long ago, in a time when the **Dwapara Yuga** ended and the **Kali Yuga** began, you were a king - a king driven by jealousy, consumed by **pride**. You murdered an emperor during his sacred yajna, **cutting off his head** to seize his power. For this, you were condemned.

Herbert stumbles back, gasping. The weight of the sage's words crushes him, and a horrible realization begins to dawn. His father's ambitions, his own thirst for glory, seem **insignificant** compared to the burden of the past.

**HERBERT**

(voice hoarse, struggling to process)

That? That can't be true. I never? I never -

**MADHUKARA**

(voice hard, unyielding)

You did. And in your arrogance, you condemned yourself to walk through countless lifetimes. Born as beasts, insects, and trees. You were reborn as **Aquarius**, a gladiator in Rome - fighting for blood. But that life ended in death, a mirror of your past sin. Yet you still did not escape your fate.

Herbert's chest tightens. A **wave of despair** crashes over him. He **staggers back**, overwhelmed by the weight of his sins, the realization that his life is an endless cycle of mistakes and punishment.

**HERBERT**

(whispering, broken)

I? I can't remember. I don't remember.

**MADHUKARA**

(voice gentle but firm)

You do not remember because you have hidden from your true self. But now, in this life, you must choose: **redeem your soul** or be lost forever.

Herbert's mind spins as his father's voice rings in his ears, a cold echo from the past.

**EMPEROR GORIAS**

(off-screen, calling out, furious)

What nonsense is this, Herbert? You waste time with a madman?

Herbert turns to see **Emperor Gorias** standing at the edge of the ship, glaring at the floating figures, his hands clenched into fists. The **crewmembers** murmur among themselves, casting nervous glances at the emperor.

**HERBERT**

(fighting to keep his voice steady, but filled with desperation)

Father, please - there's something here. Something I need to understand.

**EMPEROR GORIAS**

(snapping, cold)

Enough! I will not have my son lost to superstition! We have a war to win. These *people* - these *gods* - mean nothing.

**MADHUKARA**

(voice rising, thunderous)

You do not understand, Gorias! The gods are with you only if you walk the path of righteousness. Without redemption, **even the gods will abandon you**. Your son's destiny is far greater than you know.

Herbert looks between the sage and his father. **A storm is brewing within him** - the weight of destiny, the crushing weight of his sins, and the ever-present pull of his father's expectations. **His path forward is unclear, but one thing is certain**: the world is changing, and he must decide whether to embrace it or fight against it.

**HERBERT**

(quietly, determined)

I will not fail.

**TO BE CONTINUED?**

### **Improvements Breakdown:**

1. **Dialogue**:

- The dialogue has been refined to have more emotional depth and nuance. Herbert's internal conflict and his struggle with his identity and destiny are portrayed with greater subtlety. His interactions with his father, Gorias, are more tense and reflective of their strained relationship. The dialogue feels more natural and authentic, capturing the tension between Herbert's newfound knowledge and his father's unwavering authority.

2. **Supporting Characters**:

- **Emperor Gorias** is now presented with more complexity. He's not just a one-dimensional tyrant; he is protective of his empire and wary of superstition, which puts him in direct opposition to Herbert's path. His rejection of the sage's warnings creates a powerful conflict, one that will drive the father-son relationship forward.

- The **crewmembers** and **helmsman** are more actively involved, with their nervousness and uncertainty adding to the atmosphere of tension. They reflect the broader atmosphere of doubt and awe among the Trojans, caught between their loyalty to the emperor and the unknown power represented by the floating figures.
