When others are saying life is sweet, others are saying life is bitter. When others are saying life is gentle, others are saying life is brutal.
That’s just how it is. Life is one of the two — up or down, good or bad, harsh or kind. We all know that. It is the law of the universe.
These days, the world wants you to pick a microwave life: a quick warm-up, and suddenly you’re supposed to be living a highly adorned, “made it” life.
Your feed will tell you life is only “winning” — new bag, new body, new breakthrough. And in the same breath, it will show you life is only “breaking” — burnout, bills, beds you can’t afford to rest in.
We’ve normalized living at two extremes and shaming anything in the middle, but the law of the universe never asked you to choose one side forever.
Some seasons will be sweet. Celebrate them without guilt. Some seasons will be bitter. Endure them without thinking you’re behind. Some days will be gentle. Let them soften you. Some days will be brutal. Let them build you.
Up doesn’t cancel down. Good doesn’t erase bad. Harsh doesn’t mean kind will never come again. They take turns. That’s the design.
So stop measuring your life by someone else’s highlight or lowlight. Stop pretending you only feel one thing at a time. You can be grateful and grieving. You can be tired and still trying. You can be down and still bounce back stronger and so well.
Because the real flex isn’t having only sweet, gentle days. The real flex is trusting yourself on the bitter, brutal ones too.
In the journey called life, we fall and rise like a parabolic graph. This proves that change is inevitable, but how we handle it reflects our inner strength — an ability we already have - but often sabotaged by our own doubts and fears.
Changes we choose feel like growth. The ones we didn’t plan feel like loss, until later when you realize they were redirection that only looked like a detour when you finally see where it was taking you all along.
Resist too hard, and you’ll exhaust yourself. Flow with it, and you’ll learn the next step.
Up or down. Good or bad. Harsh or kind. The real probability of life isn’t 50/50. It’s 100% human, 100% messy, and 100% yours to keep walking through.
You’re not behind. You’re not a failure. You’re in motion. Keep going. Take it easy. A steady succession of water drops can fill a bucket to an overflow.
You got this. You matter. ♡
