The prettiest flowers have the sharpest thorns
“LET IT BURN!!!!!” I cried as I poured gasoline on our old photo albums
She was my everything, my entire world, the oxygen I breathed and now she is gone. Gone like the wind and there is nothing in this world I could do. The pain in my brain and my heart won’t go away, her pictures are all over my home and our, well now my room. Her smell was all over my room and all over my clothes. I still had her bottle of cologne, and it hurts. Her flower and my flower bonded with gloss and glue a Camellia and a Dahlia engraved in a crystal heart filled with green leaves and vines. I picked up the masterpiece that we made all those years ago, the masterpiece that we sought to protect during our wedding on the first month of summer on the seventeenth day. We made vows to protect each other spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally etc. I grabbed a pickaxe and shattered it to pieces. As the pieces flew everywhere, I continued to drink the bottle of wine and pour gasoline all over the house. On the walls, on the furniture, everywhere. Once I finished, I lit up a cigar and threw the match on the ground.
The flames started to rise quickly, and all I could do was watch. Nothing mattered any more. My everything was gone, she chose another girl over me, her wife. The one who has stuck with her through thick and thin. The one who danced with her at homecoming. The one who did everything in her power to satisfy her in all the aspects. I held my tongue on a lot of decisions that she made, and she chose to go with another girl. As I stare at the picture I took this morning of her walking with another girl, I felt the flames burning my beautiful dark skin. I smoked my rolled blunt before I closed my eyes for the last time. As I closed my eyes, I heard her in the distance with another woman crying. She teared up and started screaming. I felt her carrying me away as she called 911 but to no avail. I felt my heart stop and I was pronounced dead on the scene. She screamed and cried even harder and that woman's voice appeared.
“ Cousin Camila I'm so sorry…i know you wanted to surprise her with a trip to Bahamas”
Camila screamed even harder as she held my lifeless body
“I love you Delilah” she whispered
Suddenly I felt warm and fuzzy inside and I flew away in a bed of ashes
